None - lahat naman ng bagahe daraan sa xray pagpasok sa NAIA so makikita kung meron mang kahinahinalang laman ang bagahe. Kung meron man, dun kailangan buksan at suriin.

Ngayon kung sakaling over ka sa baggage limit, kailangan mo ilipat ang mga sobra sa ibang mga bagahe. :). O magbayad ng over-weight baggage fee. Dun sa check-in counter malalaman yan.

Hi guys,

I have been looking into tickets at some travel agencies and also online. I noticed that online ticket for PAL only costs $500 (upto $525) at the moment, all inclusive of taxes (apart from airport tax) Manila to Vancouver. But the catch is that this price only consist of 1 piece of luggage. According to the online websites (i.e. Expedia), there is an additional charge of $50 for the 2nd piece of luggage.

However, we cannot pay online for this extra pc of luggage, it has to be paid while checking in. My worry is that I read in another forum that a passenger was asked to pay 5,700 pesos/luggage for her 2nd luggage. Seeing that there is always a complication with the processing in my application, I want to avoid these extra hassle on my flight. LoL

Has anyone ever bought a ticket online? And has paid only $50 at the check-in counter?

Thanks guys for any help.

Did not buy a ticket online, but paid $75 at the NAIA counter for an extra piece of baggage travelling between MNL to Toronto via China Airlines/Air Canada. This often happens when you have codeshared flights in your itinerary; depending on the agent, and who is the main carrier and who is the code-shared itinerary. In my case, the main carrier is AC, which only has a 1 checked-in baggage policy, and because it is AC which services the longer leg of my flight, with China Airlines as code-shared.

On our last vacation - we booked CX all the way - thus we had 2x carry-on baggage. Shouldn't PAL have a 2 checked-in baggage policy? Their MNL to Toronto flight has 2 checked-in baggage as part of the free baggage allowance. Their web info shows 2 for MNL-Vancouver.

Thanks ragluf, so, despite buying from an agency, you still had to pay extra?

I spoke to PAL yesterday, they told me that the flight with only one luggage is for their sale tickets, but I can pay $50 for the extra 2nd pc of luggage when I check in. I mentioned to them that I was worried that I might be charged more because I cannot see that in their policy, only in Expedia and other online websites. That's why I am asking around if anyone has had a flight as such, because as I said earlier, someone had to pay 5,700 pesos (and it seems like that is equivalent of $150 instead of $50).

I hope someone had an experience of buying online sale tickets and paying extra luggage.

What is the proposed itinerary? PAL all the way to Vancouver (with Vancouver as the final destination)?

hi guys. last week was a very busy week for us. we manage to booked all seminars including PDOS in a week stretch. CIIP and COA are a big help if you have some spare time please do attend this seminars. i also meet some of our fellow forum mates at CIIP and COA which is really fun to see them in person.

i already booked a flight for MAY 9 via Narita (ANA) to Vancouver (CA). i am used to this connecting flights that's why i pick this is because it's much cheaper than the PALs ones. for my son and wife which they will have their flights on OCT. but as early as this month i'm gonna book their flight so it's cheaper coz they gonna use PAL because it's my wife's first time to travel so direct flight is highly advisable. any of you got the same flight as me? hit me back ok?

god bless you all!

Hello,

I've been reading this forum for quite sometime now and got alot of very useful information. I have some questions which I hope somebody can answer:

1. Will they ask for the copy of the old passports?
2. CIC is asking for Travel History (Supplementary Information). Do they check the travel history with DFA or any agency?

Thank you and I hope somebody can shed light with these questions.

1. No need for the old passports . But you need to safekeep it , It might come in handy in the long run.

2. im sure they are checking it and it is a part of their document review. whether they check it or not, you have to provide accurate travel history.

Am also considering the online ticket of Pal. Btw, reminder have u check the connecting flt frm vancouver to winnipeg the same rules apply din 1 pc check in din and the 2nd baggage will cost us $20-25 bith westjet and aircanada. Also the flt shed of pal there are flts na ang arrival vancouver 12noon and the other one is 4pm pag 4pm we only have 3hrs to connect with either ac or wj. Ok na kaya 3hrs?

Just looking into Manila to Vancouver flights, April 14 (or 15/16/17/18). Doesn't have to be direct flight if the prices are cheaper.

My friend from Vancouver will get me the flight to Winnipeg.
