Sayang tabs, here in Cebu it's one day process anywhere. Just to share, I went to the NBI at Robinsons mall at 10am and finished it at 3pm. Yon lang, mahal din ang flight and accommodation. Hehe

Enjoy the process still. Once you receive your PP with visa, it would be sweeter. :-)

LoL, NBI processing is never fun in Manila, unfortunately. Yes, malapit na maabot ang visa.

any additional information/documents should be submitted to the embassy in-charge of processing your application as stated in the CIO AOR. Provide CEM the necessary documents, an updated CIC form and the original birth certificate of your newly born child.

additional dependent on the CIC form IMM0008. be sure to indicate your file no. when you submit these documents to canadian embassy manila(CEM). anyway they will notify you if there are still lacking documents required for further processing of your application. Good luck...

hello guys

It is important for you to learn about the steps you need to take to get your credentials and qualifications recognized in Canada. Citizenship and Immigration Canada recommends that you review the resources on the Foreign Credentials Referral Office's website (www.credentials.gc.ca) and the Department's website (www.cic.gc.ca) for helpful information about living and finding work in Canada. If your application will be processed through China, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan or the UK, you might receive information and an invitation letter from CIC about free in-person assistance. In order to participate in this service you will require an invitation letter from the CIC mission which will be sent to you during the later stages of the immigration process if you are determined to be eligible for it. You can access information about this free in-person assistance at www.newcomersuccess.ca . Actual participation in this in-person service is not a guarantee or an indicator that your immigration application will ultimately be successful or that you will receive an immigrant visa.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Now my question is,
you might receive information and an invitation letter from CIC about free in-person assistance. In order to participate in this service you will require an invitation letter from the CIC mission which will be sent to you during the later stages of the immigration process if you are determined to be eligible for it.

when this could happen Huh??

Hello to kind-hearted Seniors in here!

I have a question please, did the VO requested for all travel history of your expired passports?
How about if you lost it and didn't have any record of all the travels? What will be the steps to undergo.
Thank you!

Hi Guys, I got some good news and bad news.

The good news first, my ECAS changed to IN PROCESS, from today. But on my application it states it was in process on 24 January, 2014.

And another good news, I got my NBI clearance, despite that I am a HIT, I got it in one day.

Now the bad news, the reason that my NBI clearance was released today was because of the name issue. CEM specifically required me to submit an NBI clearance, with the name "Ma. Celia". As it was clearly stated on the email: "New NBI Clearance with your firstname showing as "Ma. Celia" as indicated on your birth certificate."

NBI does not have any option to add the (.) (full stop, period, dot) onto the computer. I asked if they can provide me a certification regarding this matter and they stated that they cannot provide it unless CEM hands in a formal request. So, because I had to wait for a week, to get my NBI and the (.) might cause problems, they released my NBI clearance today, to give enough time in case CEM does request for a certification.

Oh the agony of having such a name. Has anyone encountered such issues with their names?

Additionally, I am getting a little bit worried, my email did not state the number of photographs for my PPR, and it's kind of worrying because that appears to be not such a good sign.

hi tabs... noong october 2013, nag request din ang CEM ng passport and travel documents and PCC ng accompanying dependent ko to continue processing our application... tapos hindi na na return pa ang passport niya.. until na complete namin ang submission ng PCC... saka pa kame nakakuha ng email again from CEM with subject URGENT REQUEST FOR PASSPORT/S... i think u need to give muna ang hinihingi nila... pero might as well include your recents photos.. wala naman sigurong masama sa pag include nito... and to save time too... malay natin pag balik ng passport mo with visa stamping na, diba... :)

hope this help...

Yes, I will be submitting my passport, NBI clearance and photographs today. I just got home. Mabilis pala ang online NBI. In less than 1.5 hours tapos na ako sa NBI, Taft. Napakabilis na ng 1.5 hours.

Just hold on ms tabs... soon everything will be fine... the good thing you got your NBI in one day and that its already "Ma Celia" without (.). Hopefully it'll be considered. Best of luck...

just submit six (6) copies with name, date of birth & date taken at the back of five (5) photos and leave the one blank as stated in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5690E.pdf
Nr 16 - Photo Requirements
Include six (6) photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions provided in the section How to Complete the Forms
of the application guide and in Appendix A: Photo Specifications. Photos must have been taken within six (6) months before application submission. On the back of five (5) of the photographs, write the name and date of birth of the person who appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken. Leave the sixth photograph blank.

Take the one day NBI and ECAS "in process" as the positive sign that everything will soon be done... in God's time... it'll soon come... Just hold on... ;)

Only 2 photographs are requested for PPR, that one you mentioned is for CIC not CEM.

For those getting their NBI Clearance (Filipinos only), here is my blog about the "online process": http://tabs179.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/online-nbi-process/?preview=true&preview_id=169&preview_nonce=ecc8ba3c31

along with your medical request from CEM, you'll receive an invitation letter to attend a 2-day free orientation seminar " Canadian Immigrant Integration Program-CIIP"funded by CIC. You, spouse and working age children(if any) are eligible and encourage to attend this informative and helpful session for future immigrants of canada. for more info. go to their website: www.newcomersuccess.ca

I hope there wont be an issue in your name "Ma" not having a dot. We're on the same boat as my name which appears in my birth cert is Ma., with that period. There's really no option for NBI to do this as all my clearances in the past show the same.
