Hi there. Ask ko lang po kailangan pa ba ng police clearance kahit may nbi clearance. Meron po ba dito nbi lang pinasa pero ok lang? Saka yung national ids na nasa checklist kailangan din po ba yun or pede wala na kasi if applicable lang nakalagay. Thanks

Hi,

Police Clearance as specified in the checklist means the NBI, not the local police clearance you get from your local PNP :):). Essentially it should come from a national/central police authority in the country, as this is recognized internationally.

See here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/philippines.asp

As for the national ID - see here:

Hi,

Follow the guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP7TOC.asp - and compare with the checklist here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5690E.pdf

Where copies are requested and these are photocopies of the original, then have them certified whenever possible. The instructions are in the guide - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP7TOC.asp
See the Section - Step 1. Gathering Documents - Certified True Copies

If it is easy for you to get and you can provide them the originals (such as NSO copies of BCs, Marriage Certs, etc.) then even if copies are requested, I suggest you send them the originals - this avoids having them certified.

You may want to search on the web - other sites. Not a lot do the "Landing" in Winnipeg as this is not a traditional PoE. If your flight is via Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver enroute to Winnipeg, these are the PoEs and you will pass through Immigration and do your "Landing" in these PoEs.

Direct international flights to Winnipeg without passing through the 3 PoEs above are usually via the US.
