Wala naman "grace period" officially, but usually merong few months in between receiving back the PPs with the visa and the visa validity/expiry date. Yun yung masasabing "grace period". Kailangan nasa Canada ka na at nag-land ka na before the expiry ng visa otherwise, paso na ang visa mo at di ka papayagang mag-enter ng Canada.

Pwede mo naman estimate ang time ng validity ng visa mo - usually it is 1 year from when medicals were received at the CEM/VO. So if your medicals received is for example on 12 Dec 2013, then following the "usual trend" the visa expiry date expected to be granted is 13 Dec 2013. Most visas are issued and returned before that expiry date and the applicant does have a few months in between to tend to the preparations for relocation/immigration to Canada.

To ensure your visa expiry date is granted up to the validity of the medicals - make sure your passport validity does not expire before the medicals (see example above). So if your PP is nearing expiry, better renew as soon as possible before PPR comes.

Salamat sa reply at info.

Pinadala ko ang visa application from SG on 3 Dec 2013. Another waiting game for me.

Hi Lovely1124!

Malapit na malapit na ang PPR mo! Ako nung Dec. 11 ko lang na-submit ang PC ko.

Sana we'll have good news soon! TC!

@ramcal thanks!

I just received my PPR today and in-ask sa email two photos eh walang naka-indicate na specifications. Also, may tips ba kayo on sending the passport to Ottawa?
Thanks! :)

appendix A form and photo instructions should have been attached to your e-mail, PPR. they are requiring you to submit two visa photos ( for you and your dependents, if any ), regarding the specs, alam na ng photographer yan. take note VISA not passport photos and send thru courier to the visa office handling your application. :) Congrats...

Congratulations!!!. Congratulations!!!. Congratulations!!!.

Likely - next week you will have your PPs and PRVs. Your CoPRs and visa may be in queue for printing as we speak. :D :D :D
Early present but a very welcome one!

Yours is one of the faster ones considering the request for transfer of VO (ADVO --> CEM).

Hopeful all others will receive their PRVs in the coming weeks - traditionally, CIC does work some wonders end of the year, early January.

THANKS Ragluf! I appreciate so much your help...especially during those times when I'm struggling to locate/transfer my file. Your assistance is pivotal! MARAMING SALAMAT ;D ;D ;D

Guys, I know this may appear like a silly question.

I will go for my medicals next week and I am preparing my medical history documents. In regards to previous X-ray and ultrasound, should I be bringing the result only or also the actual digital prints?

Bring copies of the abstract/summary of findings as these will likely be left to the DMP. The film/printout is not necessary, but considering you have had recent xrays/scans, bring the film as this will help the DMP to decide whether you will need to undergo xrays/scans or your very recent ones may suffice, and you do not need to do the scans that are part of the IME.

Too may scans in a short period of time is detrimental to your health in the long term.... :)

Hi Sir Ragluf,
I need some views & insights po regarding sa update na nareceived ko ngaun thru snail mail. PNP applicant po ako at Abu Dhabi po visa office naming ng family ko. We received our medical request from ADVO on Nov.18. Me & my hubby d2 po sa Dubai & my 2 kids, at St.Lukes Ermita. During my kids medical on Nov.26, my eldest, 9yrs old, was asked to have 2 kind of x rays. Today nakatanggap po ako ng medical furtherance &stated that details were send thru the E medical file. Nagtataka lang po ako at little bit confused dahil yung snail mail po ay from CIC,High Commission of Canada, Health branch, New Delhi India. Is this normal?
Thank you po in advance ulit at maraming salamat po sa walang sawang paggabay mo po sa amin.
