A few months more - then your will receive your PR card.

Note: After 6months from "Complete" this record will be removed from ECAS and you can't query it anymore. Also, it will sometimes change to "In Process" - don't worry about this as would often indicates PR card processing.

Congratulations!

Thanks a lot. That does mean that i can still land direct to Winnipeg. There are conflicting opinions regarding landing for first time immigrants. Some seniors said that there are certain port of entry specifically for landing for first time immigrants such as vancouver, or toronto as there are immigration officers stationed to this port area to assist the first time immigrants.

Accordingly, there are immigration officers in winnipeg but these officers are not detailed to assist the landing process of first time immigrants unlike in vancouver and toronto.

Yeah - CBSA does in-fact identify that the JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT does have IMM services 8:00-24:00
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/offices/office569-e.html

Major PoEs in Canada (airports) - Vancouver (YVR), Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), have officers on duty 24/7 and are traditional PoEs. It follows they have immigration officers on-staff as well as translators and other services. Winnipeg has recently rose in prominence as a destination for immigration landings, but their staff may not be scaled yet to handle full IMM services despite as listed in the site. That is why it was rylai who called and emailed, but can't find anything that answered the questions. You may want to try to email them also and see what you can find out - it may have changed recently.

Thank you very much Mr. Ragluf. I've read several posts of known seniors about landing as well as comparing the websites of CBSA-winnipeg, Vancouver and Toronto. After weighing all the comments, including your valuable inputs and the result of my research, I have concluded that we can do our landing process at any port of entry in Canada whether by land or air with the exception of Quebec international airport.

I will go ahead in my original routing. I rest my case on this matter.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. God bless.

kelotz and ragluf,

salamat sa mga advance info...madali na para sa amin yung mga next moves namin...i sent my passport to CEM yesterday thru LBC..

dahil sa inyo, alam ko nawhere to book plane tickets, FAQ by Immigration, pati yung mga dapat gawin during first few weeks in Canada...

yey, keep it coming guyz...we really appreciate it , God bless.

Gusto ko lang sana ng clarification... Kailangan magka transit visa sa US kung dadaan ang plane doon? Even if you are not getting out of the airport, magtransfer ka lang ng ibang airplane? Or is it only needed if you get out of the airport kasi yung next flight mo is in another airport... ???

Yes. See this link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_4383.html#3
Read through.
Travel purposes which require a Transit (C) Visa - Examples:
A foreign citizen traveling to another country who will have a brief layover in the United States when the only reason for entering the United States is to transit.

I travelled through NY-JFK recently; all are required to pass through immigration even if you are just on a layover. Fingerprinting and stamp on passport was done.

Thanks ragluf... Does it take long to get one?

Generally getting a US transit visa is the same as getting a US B1/B2 visa - you have to apply at a US consulate. Which means you need to schedule an appointment in advance using their electronic/online visa application process.
