Is this cumpolsary like PDOS? This is the email from CEM that we received.
"Free Pre-Arrival Employment & Settlement Session at CIIP! ".
As part of your employment and settlement preparations to Canada, register as soon as possible at the Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP). CIIP conducts sessions in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Dipolog.
Funded by the Government of Canada, CIIP sessions are offered to you free of charge.
Whether your aim is to work in a regulated or non-regulated profession in Canada, CIIP will provide guidance and offer support pre-arrival. By attending CIIP, you will be referred directly to Canadian Immigrant Serving Organisations and Educational Institutions who will provide you support BEFORE you go to Canada, specifically related to your destination and career choice.
CIIP will guide you through the integration process while still in the Philippines and then following arrival in Canada. The session will provide an overview of trends in the Canadian economy, as well as a focus on labour market prospects in the province of destination. Presentations on opportunities are balanced by an examination of labour market and settlement challenges, and options for addressing these challenges are discussed. The day concludes with a session on job-searching in the Canadian environment.
Preparation is the key to your success. As soon as you are in the medical stage, or have your visa already, you are advised to contact CIIP and secure a spot in an upcoming session.
