Hi Everyone,

I'm planning to send cargo to canada so that I don't have to bring a lot of baggages during our flight. I am travelling with my 2 daughters and wife. And travelling with kids are really a handful, and I'm afraid it's gonna be stressful if we have a lot of things on the plane.

What's the cheapest way to send cargo to canada and should I declare this items per instructions on the immigration papers? Can anybody share their experience?

Thanks.

And... is it a good idea to get a straight flight to Vancouver from Manila? Hindi ba parusa ang 12-hour flight considering I'm travelling with an infant and a 4-year old?

BTW, we're headed to Winnipeg. Any suggestions?

Many thanks. :-)

ask ko lang, ung ciip and coa are not required seminars right? PDOS lang po ba?

Yes - PDOS is the only compulsory seminar.

However, even if CIIP and COA are voluntary - please take advantage of these as they will provide you with the wealth of information on settling down and integrating.

Should not be a problem. Just be prepared to answer questions on why the PR cards are to be sent to an address out-of-province when and if only asked. It helps if you have a proof of billing or have the address/phone number/calling card of your friend in Edmonton. Same with your intent to "land" and exit 2 weeks later - prepare some reasons if asked. There have been some isolated incidents posted wherein landing immigrants were given quite a time at immigration because of this. Be prepared and good luck on landing.

/all the best...

Thank you sooo much Sir Ragluf....we owe u a lot:)

Hey everyone! :) I need someone to enlighten me, I submitted my papers for PR at CIC 2 weeks ago. I made sure that I've completed everything. My question is, if hypothetically I missed a question and they have to return my documents, when will I know? Will they email me right away to inform me that they are returning my documents or out of nowhere Mr. Mailman is delivering my docs at my doorstep without me knowing? Pls help, I'm a bit anxious. Thank you and God bless. :)

I have some questions...
What mode of Payment for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee/s(RPRF), is better? Bank draft?
and also, what did you write on, behind the cheque? Applicant name? how about the application number?

Thanks!

Bank Draft or Manager's Cheque is ok. Write your name at the back of the cheque and Application Number and then place it inside the envelope. You need to put outside of the envelope, Name, Application Number, Address and put a note: Payment for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee/s. ;)
