Hi All,

1st time to post, but long time reader/topic follower

just like to share na nag attend kami ng wife ko ng CIIP seminar kanina, may day2 pa bukas, at tumpak lahat ng sinabi sa forum na to, I highly recommend sa mga hindi pa nakaka attend na I avail etong free seminar na to as early as possible

actually sa case namin, medyo worried kami ng konti kasi last Feb pa yung medical namin at hanggang ngayon wala pa ding PPR, medyo excited lang din
pero sa seminar kanina I realize na madami pa palang preperation ang kelangan gawin dito sa pinas habang wala pa yung PPR / visa

so best of luck to all and I again I highly recommend sa mga hindi pa nakaka pag CIIP na mag attend kayo ng seminar as early as you can. God bless you all

Hi ragluf.

Would it be possible that CEM will require documents at a later time?
The reason for this question is that during our medical I was asked on gallbladder but the attending physician did not request for documents. I undergo laparoscopy for this.

Possible - yes, if the RMO Medical Officer requests for it. Likelihood of this happening IMHO - LOW if the results are does not lead towards reasons for medical inadmissibility or if the results are complete/conclusive enough to make a medical assessment. The initial collection of data/medical findings/results of lab tests based on the IME is noted and done by the DMP and then sent to the RMO. The assessment is done by the Medical Officer. If the findings warrant more records/medical tests to be performed to make the medical assessment, then the MO will issue instructions - sometimes this is termed as medical furtherance/additional tests.
During the IME, it is likely the local DMPs have been issued instructions to proceed to request the applicant to undergo additional lab tests if the initial IME lab results are not enough to provide findings that are enough to make/base a medical assessment from.

DMP – Designated medical practitioner. A medical professional appointed by CIC to perform immigration medical examinations and report on the health status of potential permanent and temporary residents to Canada.

(Nowadays DMPs are referred also as Panel Physicians)

Medical Assessment – A medical determination made by a medical officer or assistants concluding whether an applicant’s health condition is likely to be a danger to public health or public safety, or might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand.

Medical Officer – A physician authorized by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism under the Act to provide immigration medical assessments. Medical officers are employees of the Government of Canada and should not be confused with locally appointed DMPs

RMO – Regional medical office. The operational location for CIC medical officers. The primary contact and the place to which DMPs should forward Medical Reports and correspondence.

RMOF – Regional medical officer. CIC medical officers with regional responsibility for the Canadian immigration health program.

As part of the functions/duties of the DMP - see below: (excerpts from the DMP Handbook) - I have highlighted that statement there:

Provide or arrange for the provision of such supplementary reports or diagnostic tests as may be requested or required by standing instructions issued by a CIC medical officer. These supplementary reports and/or diagnostic tests should be sent directly from the laboratory or consultant to the DMP for collation and transmission to the RMO.

Personally conduct all clinical activities with respect to the medical examination of the applicant. When further medical reports are requested by a medical officer, these reports must be provided by a specialist of the DMP’s choosing. Reports provided by a physician of the applicant’s choosing are not acceptable, although the applicant’s previous medical records can be provided in addition to the currently requested report.

• Specialists or consultants preparing additional reports requested as part of the IME should be advised that their reports should be objective, detailed and limited to the question posed. They should not include comments about their impressions regarding suitability for immigration or fitness for travel.
  
• These reports should be complete and contain a thorough clinical review, discussion and interpretation of clinical findings. Prognostic determination should be based on the anticipated clinical course and likely need for intervention or treatment medical and/or surgical) over the following several (five) years.
  
• It is the DMP’s responsibility to select specialists and consultants who are able and willing to provide complete reports.
  
  Note: The DMP does not provide an assessment in terms of the medical admissibility or inadmissibility of the applicant to Canada. DMPs must take care not to make any statements or provide any indication to applicants which might be construed as implying a favourable or unfavourable immigration assessment outcome. This is the responsibility of the visa or immigration officer.

Naka schedule ka na ba ng virual screening sa date na binigay sayo? Yes naka encode na din ako ng resume ko sa career bridge program nila...ano nagpa sched ka ng virtual screening interview? Kailangan na ba natin magpa virtual screening kahit wala pa visa? Pekto kumusta na ang status mo? sa Akin "Application recieved pa din ako Dec 12, 2012" matagal mag change status..

Meron din akong na-received na emails for virtual screening. sinabi naman nila yan pero kelangan nila ang commitment on the date and time ng screening.

Hi there! Just received an email, subject is COA FREE Pre-departure orientation seminar. Nakapag reg na po ba kayo? Pipili pa lng ako date between june 17 and 19. Hope sana magkita kits tyo if same day din binigay slot sa inyo.

Is dis a sign na ba for PPR?
