Hi! We have the same dilemma... We had our medical last April 08 and still Application Received ang ecas status namin. Sabi nila as long as wala namang problema ang medical, no need to worry. WE just have to wait.
Good luck to us!

One reason why the delay in CEM processing, they are on legal strike since April this year, and last week they withdraw services on certain location, unfortunately Manila is one of them.

I'll take a dig at this - IMHO would have to be dependent on the extent/seriousness of the operation.

I had an out-patient operation which I still had to declare during the IME, but it was deemed as minor by the panel physician and does not impact normal body movement or functions. But I did bring the pathology reports as well as the discharge reports.

On the DMP Handbook this is what is listed:

Question 1: OPERATION OR HOSPITAL TREATMENT
When the applicant has had an operation or hospital treatment, the details from the applicant should include the date and reason for the admission and/or the operative procedure performed and pathology reports.

Note: If the applicant is not excessive demand exempt, the discharge summary and any pathology report from admissions for serious illnesses within the last five years should be included. For all malignant and/or neoplastic diseases treated within the last five years, the relevant operative and pathology reports, with a current specialist's report, should be included.

So IMHO if the operation is significant/or due to a serious illness, and there are signs seen immediately about the effects of that operation to normal body functions - you may be asked to provide the operative procedure or records of the operation performed. But if it is minor, and no issues outwardly seen, better prepare a detailed description when asked by the IME/physician on the cause/nature of the operation as well as the dates/places when it was performed. Be specific enough such that the description will suffice in lieu of the operative procedures. In most cases, the IME physician is well capable to understand most operative cases (i.e. appendix removal, gallstone removal, etc.) but if there are specialized procedures involved, then you may be asked to bring the complete records.

/hope this helps...

Thanks so much for posting...now got an idea how to deal with my dillema too! My husband was admitted coz of very high sugar (diabetic) and under maintenance bt not insulin. So might as well bring with me his medical records for reference.

hi all

i have submitted my RPRF at CEM yesterday. I attached a letter for formality and also attached the email they sent to me for RPRF request. did i do the right thing?

Hello :)

This info and ragluf's are a relief to me. I have the Discharge Summary issued by the hospital consist of only 1 page, is it the same as yours?

Hi ragluf.

Would it be possible that CEM will require documents at a later time?
The reason for this question is that during our medical I was asked on gallbladder but the attending physician did not request for documents. I undergo laparoscopy for this.

Thanks

I hope CEM would be professional enough not to let this affect cases of applications or at least inform applicants if this would delay processing so we can plan accordingly. Until now, we haven't enrolled our children yet. :(

Ako po yong 2nd day ndi na umattend ang wife ko...ako yong nag present ng group presentation nong nag drawing tayo sa white paper.
Tanong ko lang pareyle at cnd2010 at pekto.. Did you pre register sa carreer bridge program nong sa CIIP? kasi they are asking me to schedule for the virtual screening interview for internship this coming June 8,9 or 10, kaso nag dadalawang isip pa ako if pa interview ako kasi wala pa naman akong visa...Asked ko lang sa inyo if naka recieved na din kayo ng ganito na virtual pre screening interview sa career brigde program ng CIIP?

ah oki na-re-remember ko...

Meron din akong na-received na emails for virtual screening. sinabi naman nila yan pero kelangan nila ang commitment on the date and time ng screening.

di ba nag-submit ka na din ng resume mo for screening. How is it?
