Unfortunate. You may want to ask your legal rep to send via email, a pre-advise on the courier transmittal of the RPRF payment, complete with a scanned copy of the check, and courier details (tracking info etc.), as soon as the check is picked-up. This alerts CEM to an inbound transmittal/submission, and shows them what to expect.

Should there be any snafu again, then it is easier to track where and who is at fault.

On the subject of couriers, the express couriers (wwwexpress, 2Go) sometimes use riders/couriers that do not know where to go in CEM and just refer to the address as listed in the waybill - http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/philippines/visas/apply-how_demande-comment.aspx?view=d#drop

However, all packages are accepted and signed in at the Basement 4 drop box location - courier deliveries will not be sent upstairs or accepted at the front receiving desk in the lobby of the tower. The basement 4 drop box location actually accepts and signs for courier deliveries at the side windows (not at the windows where the drop boxes are located - go to the side where there is a separate window for couriers). If the courier does not now about this or where to go, failed/delayed deliveries happen. Also it would be advisable to use established couriers - LBC, UPS, Air21/fedex.

/all the best...

Hey ragluf, your suggestions make sense. We advised our legal rep to take these extra measures when forwarding our RPRF to CEM. Hopefully this time it will go through without any complications.

Thanks for your inputs.

Credit History Transfer to Canada

As I was browsing through HSBC's Canada website, I stumbled upon the bank's offering to help clients transfer their credit history from their originating country (where they maintained an HSBC's account) to Canada. I am not aware that this is even possible. I was under the assumption that the new immigrants has to build up their credit history once in Canada.

Is this offering provided by other Canadian banks as well? I don't know. However, if someone is already an existing HSBC account holder in the Philippines or where you are at, then, this is something that one may consider.

Below is the bank's URL dedicated to newcomers to Canada.

Hello mga Sir/Madam

Good day po sa inyong lahat! I just joined this forum. Sana po matulungan nyo ako. Im currently in the process of gathering my documents while waiting for my IELTS exam date and I have a few questions. Im just reposting these from another thread (medyo desperate na po ako). Any info will be highly appreciated. Salamat po in advance.

Details:

nationality : Philippines
current location : Poland
General Stream
Online Application

Here are my questions:

- About the marriage contract. marriage is contracted in the US, and not yet registered at NSO. is it ok to submit the MC that was issued from the city hall on where the marriage took place?

- husband is US LPR. is it possible to NOT include him in the application? cause it is just me that is going to migrate there in Canada

- I lost my high school diploma. talked to the school and they said that they do not issue copies. they can only issue a certification of graduation (?). Can I submit that certification and affidavit of loss in place of the diploma?

ps sorry po kung mayron nang na post na ganitong question dito sa thread na ito. im still trying to read the entries from the beginning of this thread. salamat po ulit :)

Previously it was claimed at DFA. Is this for the driver's abstract to be used for insurance purposes? You can get a Driver's Certificate or also known as Driver's License Certification or Abstract at LTO Main QC. You will need to claim it at DFA - previously takes anywhere from 1 week to 10 working days.
