Emedical? prang di nila nabanggit sakin yan, sbi nila gusto cem na ipapadala med records sa office mismo....
Hi,

eMedical - electronic submission of IME results. Previously - paper-based system.

IME results are sent to Regional Medical Offices (RMOs). We are fortunate that Manila (CEM) has an RMO, so results do not have to be sent to the RMO covering the VO (for example - London RMO covers Abu Dhabu/ME VOs - so results have to be transmitted to London RMO before being routed to the appropriate VO handling the applicant). Well you may expect - transmittal of paper results will be slower.

This would also be the reason why some clinincs are not anymore accredited - they need to comply with the requirements for eMedical. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob471.asp - OB 471.

/hope this helps...

Hindi naman required ang CIIP, PDOS lang pero very informative daw kaya grab ko ang chance.
Aside from this is a free service and funded by the Government of Canada, another reason why this is done in batches of applicants from the same province as much as possible, is that it is "intended" of the program is to have the first-time immigrants start their support group. This is by getting acquainted with fellow-immigrants and have them exchange contact info such that they still maintain communication and reach out to support each other come settlement. Having a support group increases chances of a successful settlement/adjustment to life in the country.

Also, this is the opportune time to ask information - not about the good things heard (i.e. health program, quality of life, education etc.) - but be not afraid of asking the hard questions - such as, but not limited to, tax rate, job market, equalization/recognition of educational credentials/qualifications, country debt, etc. Most of what is heard about the country are the good stuff - but as you can see in various threads in this forum, and if you seek information on news, sites pertaining to events and happenings in the country - there are also issues seen. It pays to be informed and see the view from all angles.

You may have missed the "Medical results have been received" note because it is only after clicking on the "Application Received" that you will see the more detailed info (date when application was received) and the note "medical results have been received" if they have updated the status of your application.

Without clicking on that, and just looking at the status after logging in, you will only see "Application Received" then "In Process" is the next change.

example detail:
#####
Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on <date> - you will see this after AOR - eCAS shows Application Received

We started processing your application on <date> - do you see this line? eCAS shows - In Process

Medical results have been received. - do you see this line?

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. - you will see this at DM - eCAS shows Decision Made

You entered Canada at the <PoE> on <date> and became a Permanent Resident. - you will see this after landing and getting your PR card- eCAS shows Complete

At the log in page I can only see "In Process" and then all the details are inside this link.

I see - no indication yet that for "Medical results have been received" - so your status has not been updated to show the medicals. Somewhere, your medical results have been received by CEM but needs to be relayed to the RMO for evaluation. They may be still looking over your medicals and will update afterwards. Or they may just wait when they update the status to DM then you will see this line for the medicals (although I think that is unlikely).

Still - this means your application is progressing.

Hi,

Not a bad idea given there is only 1 month between the critical dates (expected date when App is received at CIO and expiry of LOA) - this covers your bases. Sigurista pays in these cases. You cover the (remote) possibility if there are other errors in your resubmission that will cause the application to be returned. Won't hurt not to get in touch with your nominee program administrator and ask for an extension.

Important is the application date received/stamped at CIO - this should be before the LOA expiry. If you receive confirmation of receipt of your application (tracking/signed receipt of package via courier) by March 25 or before LOA expiry - that is fine. Use a reliable courier.
