Hi to everyone here!

My name is kat. I am here in canada now. I just wanted to ask few questions to my kababayan here. My sister is currently working is Dubai for 4 years now. and she is 27 years old. i am on the process of gathering information how i can get her here in Canada. So my question is, Does she qualify under family class or under nominee program here in Manitoba.? Thanks in advance for your answer..

Kat.

hello kat,

i think she falls under nominee program. you being in manitoba, mas mabilis ata processing jan. my brother is in alberta and he applied for a provincial nominee for me. he also applied family class sponsorship sa mama ko na nasa pilipinas. a friend from manitoba told me less than a year daw ang approval eh.

my application is currently still ongoing...hintay lang sabi ni Lord. :)

Continued good luck to you! I share your worry waiting having gone through that myself - as well as others here that have gone through that.

Well, imagine paying the processing fee and then PhilPost snail mail was used to sent the MR to us? Talk of mixed emotions of joy ('yahooo......finally tapos na waiting ng MR....tumatakbo ang application ko!!!!) then a downer ('bakit naman di pinangalagaan tulad ng ginawa ko sa ipinadadala ko sa kanila eh important docs ito...original pa naman....?!?!). :-[ :-[ :-[ Then panic (paano ba ako mag-medical?!? Teka - 30 days lang ito dapat naibalik na???!!! Tama ba? Naku.... :o :o :o)

Kaya talagang kailangan kapit ka sa dadanasin mo dito sa processing and waiting. Surely I wish after everything that we have gone through, after landing and getting your papers and settling down, first thing to file for medical is therapy sessions "for the extreme emotional stress endured during the application process in getting here... ;D "

- hope this brings a smile to those waiting.... :P :P

That is right ragluf. It really takes a lot of patience and perseverance to go thru all these. Many thanks and may we continue to help each other even in the simplest ways. Good luck and God bless everyone!

Both can be used IMHO. If you go via the Family Class/Sponsorship - you can start reviewing the requirements here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives.asp
If you go via MPNP - start reviewing how to here: http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/how-to-immigrate/

Looked up eligibility under MPNP - she may fall under D (http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/how-to-immigrate/eligibility/) - she already has a you as the strong connection in Manitoba...

Wala pa. It will come in due time. Well me stressing about it, while waiting IMHO, will not make the process faster. So I am just taking it a day at a time :)
