Ah. Cge po magrerenew na ako. Ms. tabs179, yesterday I went to LTO East Ave. akala ko after ng DFA release ok na ang Certification hindi pa po pala. I need to bring the Authenticated Cert sa window 10 sa LTO then proceed to LETAS building to get another Certificate. Sabi it will take 30mins to get that cert. tinanong ko na kahapon para mabilis na ako sa March 12. FYI po baka makatulong po sa ating lahat. Hi,tabs179 said:For those who have flown via PAL, just a query regarding the baggage.
I am a little bit worried with the dimension of my checked-in luggage. They have both have a total dimension of 56 inches, which is actually acceptable (within the 65 inches limit). But I read that if you have two suitcases it should only total up to 107 inches. Which is weird because they different regulations.
Will this cause some problems for me? Anyone who has gone through PAL, please share your experiences. Thanks.
As always, you have taken my worries away. Thank you very much. :-* :-* :-*ragluf said:Hi,

56 + 56 = 112 which is borderline and usually acceptable. You should not be overly concerned. If it looks like regular luggage (i.e a trolley/roller luggage) and no overt protrusions/extensions, that will pass muster. Most regular luggage are measured with the height and comply with airline regulations - a 28" upright is commonly the largest now allowable across most airlines, with 29" - 30" being borderline as their widths almost reach the most common 62" limit.
These dimensions are more applicable to irregular sized luggage (i.e containers for sporting equipment, video equipment, military. musical instruments etc.) that usually are greater in dimensions versus regular baggage/luggage bags and would need special handling.
Just keep within the weight limits. I have seen lots of irregular sized luggage in my travels and no issues with passing through PAL. My advise is always be early to check-in as this is when the groundstaff and counter-staff are still lenient to allow slight excess with dimensions, even in weight. In PAL, I recall one counter crew mentioned that 0.5kg over the limit is sometimes permissible but > 0.5kg will often lead to over-weight baggage charges. If you can, use a hand-held digital weighing scales for luggage - they are surprisingly accurate (the one you strap to the handle of the luggage and then pull up to get the weight of the bag) - I have been using one since 5 years ago.

Where is your VO? Did you get an AOR sent from CEM in your medical request? I see from your previous posts your timeline - can you verify this is correct? You should have already a File/CID if MR has been sent to you and you should have the information on which VO is processing your application.Anneohw said:Can u pls help me. Im so confused.
I emailed CEM regarding my application and they replied that i should contact CIO- Nova instead because they are the one processing it. I sent my application at CIO under AINP. I thought they will forward it to the visa office (manila) after they determine that my application is complete. Done with my medicals dec pa.
Speaking of which, miski nga sa DFA may date kung kailan ka babalik. Pagdating mo dun wala pa daw. Tama ba yun? Nakakainis lang eh.tabs179 said:Thanks for the info.
Ako rin may problema sa LTO. Akala ko tapos na rin ako kahapon, I was at DFA yesterday to collect it. But LTO made a spelling mistake, so DFA said to bring the issue at LTO main. So, babalik ulit ako sa LTO at hihingi ng bagong certification. Ugh, this is what we get from our government. Kakapagod. And you won't get any apologies, instead they answer back when you start complaining and being frustrated.
So, for those getting their LTOs, please remind them not be very articulate with your information. Or if possible, kunin na ninyo ang certificate yourself on the same day. That's what I will try on my next visit at LTO main.
Depends on when all the admissibility checks are completed. MR (or medical admissibility) is only one part of the admissibility checks - others are security/criminality etc. Nevertheless applicants to NS do seem to get things processed much quicker (well from all the conversations I have had with other applicants here in NS) - must be because it is not a traditional first-choice as a province to immigrate to.Sleepyhead619 said:Good day. Newbie here. Although medyo matagal na ako nagbabasa sa mga threads dito about PR applications, advices/tips and mga experiences sa mga kapwa applicante. So thankful na nahanap ko tung forum na tu. Anyway, i would like to ask sana kung how many days ang PPR from the time they (CEM) have recieved my Medical Exam result. My wife is a nurse and shes in Halifax, NS. Ito po yung Timeline namin. Thanks in advance sa mga sasagot. God Bless.
August 2013 - Application Received
September 27, 2013 - Appication Processed
October 4, 2013 - Medical Exam Request (Unfortunately we did not receive the email from CIC on this day)

AOR-CIO po ako last Feb. 24, 2014. Waiting for MR. God bless us all.
Yes, may date naman when to collect from DFA. Although, I always go a few days later when collecting, because I don't trust on the reliability and quality of the government agencies' services. And then how frustrating when you get there and mali mali pa and you would need to travel back to LTO main (in my case).ConradFael said:Speaking of which, miski nga sa DFA may date kung kailan ka babalik. Hi Pachochay,Pachochay said:Hello Forum mates.
CIC received our application 9th Oct 2013, will be 5 months soon.
Till date we have not received any advise from CIC, not even AOR! :-(
When we sent case specific enquiry, below was their reply, and a file number beginning with EP has been indicated (Bless them!). This enables us to check our status online which is still "Application Received"
Your file is with the visa office in Abu Dhabi. Please direct your enquiry to that office.
Questions:
1. Does it mean that CIC has completed its initial checking and considered our application to be "complete" and therefore already forwarded to the visa office (Abu Dhabi)?
2. Does it mean that no further documents required as per CIC? Of course, visa office may request at a later stage for updated ones like NBI, police clearance, etc.
3. Spouse copied in the email correspondence or just the principal applicant?
We sent also enquiry to Abu Dhabi visa office reiterating the email address (just in case it was not so clear in the application though we checked the validated one & it was correct....just wondering why we did not receive any email at all ) but unlike CIC, did not reply:-(
Anyone on the same boat with us? The agony of waiting is killing me! Naghahanap po ng karamay. He,he.
Appreciate feedback/suggestions. Thanks in advance. God Bless.

Ask your wife to apply for GCMS notes for your application - as she is here so this is free and by the time you get the results (one month) you will see where the application is currently located.
