Thank you for the info, ragluf. If this is the case, bakit may mga naghihintay ng 3 - 4 months from 'in process' to 'ppr'? what's happening between those period?
Hi,

See here - the explanation by qorax is still one of the best....
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/what-is-bfd-explained-t39705.0.html;msg269069#msg269069

Especially that of the security checks - parte ng admissibility checks ang security. Ang me input tayo is criminality (i.e PCC) and medical (i.e. IME/MR). Wala tayong input sa security (i.e. RCMP screening or sometimes inter-agency inquiry) :(:(

At walang Final Assessment pa....

At ang Reason - In Progress...

We are pleased to inform you that your visa(s) for permanent residence to Canada is/are ready to be issued, conditional to a final admissibility review by an immigration officer.

Wow, thank you again sir ragluf. Very informative and helpful but then I really need to think hundred times to do this. If I will not appoint her as my full representative, can she still make some letter inquiry regarding my application? Another think I have also agency here in he Philippines (a paid representative), it might have a conflict so I rather ask my representative what will be the best option for this. But anyway thank you very much ragluf, you are really a big help to all of us here. God Bless Sir.

@ zepthkinsey - likely #2 is your option if only for getting GCMS
Meron ka palang alternative via your sister-in-law - di mo nasabi ng maaga.... :)

Me two options ka:
1. Appoint her na full representative. (unpaid/uncompensated representative). Eto ang links na makakatulong sa iyo, lalo na ang video in filling up the form.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/multimedia/video/representative/representative.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5561E.asp

As full representative - will be able to obtain information on your case file, such as the status of your application and will be able to conduct business on your behalf with CIC.

2. Allow her to get information on your behalf (authorize her) - pero hindi sya full representative.
Release of information to other individuals
To authorize CIC to release information from your case file to someone other than a representative, you will need to complete the form Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual (IMM 5475) (PDF, 1.75 MB). The form is also available from Canadian embassies, high commissions and consulates abroad.

The person you designate will be able to obtain information on your case file, such as the status of your application. However, they will not be able to conduct business on your behalf with CIC.

Use the form below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5475e.pdf

Madalas ginagamit itong authorization under a request for GCMS/ATIP using another person in Canada. IMHO, itong authorization is good enough to cover asking her MP about inquiring about your file, as long as inquiry lang sa status ng application - nothing else. Pwede sya na kumuha ng GCMS notes for your application (libre for citizens, or those residing in Canada). Pwede rin sya na tumawag sa Call Centre ng CIC (toll free in Canada) pero balewala kasi ang file mo is being processed in the PH, not inland in Canada :).

Expect din ng dagdag na days sa application kasi - this is an update in your application. Either way - me confirmation response from the VO yan before the appointed representative can start inquiring on your behalf.

Now personally I will add in a word of caution lalo na with appointing a full representative. Medyo malaki na ang responsibility and related consequences of misrepresentation sa isang full representative - lalo na with Bill C-35 na naipass. Pwede ka ma-refuse because of misrepresentation on information of an authorized representative. Kaya isipin ng mabuti ang balak.

On ordering GCMS via ATIP - si user828 made a very good video - see here: Video: How to Order ATIP/GCMS - http://goo.gl/zl3UP
Acknowledge user828 if this helped you by a +1.

Ah there - another detail - you have a paid representative/agency.

You paid good money for your representative, and they are in the business of immigration. Exert every other pressure you can on them to bring you results and updates as they (being in the business of immigration) should have excellent contacts as well as have lawyers and consultants who should know more about the immigration process rather than us here in the forum . You should get your money's worth - and you should not be seeking alternatives to getting your application status when this is the primary job of the representative at this stage. I will be screaming hell to high water at my representative if they are dependent on eCAS - what is the difference and what is the value they provide being an immigration agency?

Work with them first - they are your primary avenue to getting timely updates. Ask them...better yet...demand from them to get GCMS notes for you as you have appointed them as a full representative and CIC can release information to them. They - as a immigration agency - should have the means to do so.

You cannot appoint your sister-in-law as your full representative without removing your agency first.
You can still fill in the form Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual (IMM 5475) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5475e.pdf - to authorize CIC to release information from your case file to someone other than a representative, that will allow your sister-in-law to inquire status of your application.

Still - get your money's worth from the agency. You should not be exerting any effort in trying to get information on your application - they (the immigration agency) should be the ones beholden to your requests.

You also have to note that officers can be re-assigned, re-tasked etc. The process Qorax has explained is totally dependent on the officers to do the job regularly and expeditiously. Factors beyond their control - re-assignment, rotation, or this strike, do impact a lot. The labor culture here is you do not have to worry about the work you are leaving if you are re-assigned/relocated - you drop everything and move on. It is the task of the department to compensate and pick up the pieces. This human factor plays a lot in the delays - if you look at the experience of applicants in the Buffalo NY office - the closure and transfer of that processing centre has caused a lot of delays to applicants there - missing paperwork, untracked applications - long delays.

You have no information yet leading you to this conclusion, that is actually trying to predict the future :):) Granted you have nothing to hide and have filled out the application forms truthfully and declared willingly, complied to every request and provided them within the deadlines - is there something that you have not disclosed? :) :)

Generally - here are the reasons for inadmissibility:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/who.asp

Take it a step at a time. The application process is a lengthy one - if you have cast your future on this then be prepared to toughen it out for the duration of the application process (PNP at CEM ~ currently 11 months). Set your expectations to this timeline - it will lessen the worries on you. It is hard - I have gone through the same experience - but I know it is harder for you folks pre-2008 applicants - nothing will ever compensate for the lost time.

Beyond this - CIC/CEM and whoever is in the immigration process - becomes accountable to you - and you can wring their necks out in pressuring them for action - even (as some have been contemplating) - to sue/do legal action to them for false promises. The mere threat of this is sometimes actually enough to bring action on your applications.

Start with getting your GCMS notes first. Then act accordingly armed with information from GCMS. :)

Have faith everything will work out - there is a silver lining at the end of the wait....lots of applicants have the same concerns and fears as you and have come out successful.

Long before (2-3 batches ago) - napansin namin na me updates sa ECAS after matatapos ang "stages" na tinatawag sa processing. Karamihan sa "medicals received" - couple of weeks matapos matanggap ang results. Nagiging in-process, then a few days later PPR.

Hi, Just sharing my status:

Mine still has no medical received on e-Cas even though SLEC sent the result already on July 1.

My e-cas status is "In Process", when click got only two line of sentences (1) App rec'v on January 2013 and (2) We started processing your application on April 18, 2013

My RPRF negotiated on May 3 and Personal History received at CEM May 2 by guard named Frederick Beronia.

I really hope to get "medical result have been received" status.

PPR ka na right?
Then....CONGRATULATIONS....DM ka na! ;D ;D ;D

...nothing to do but wait for your mamang kartero or friendly DHL delivery to bring back the PPs to you.
Also - one indication of a successul outcome is if your Provincial Nominee Program Office sends you an email welcoming you or instructing you on next steps on your settlement. :) :) It won't be long now....
