You should not worry now - apologies for putting this worry added to yours. The assumption made at this point is that the receipt included in the application is always for payment of processing fees/fees of the applicant(s) named in the submission. The payer information definition is in my view subjective - there is
no specific instruction that is seen on the form nor on CIC web that says definitively that
Payer Information = Principal applicant. This is were the confusion lies. The note in the online webpage would apply only in the case of refunds.
The important thing (I will repeat) is to clearly link this receipt of payment to your submission - meaning - eto ang patunay na nabayaran na ang processing fees ng aplikante na ang pangalan ay......". Again, it is always the assumption that the included receipt in the submission is for payment of fees for the applicant, irrespective of what is put in the Payer Information field. Applicants have been getting AORs regardless of differing information in the Payer Information. I paid my wife's extension and WPs with my name as Payer last year and we still got these extensions and WPs processed and we use the same online payment system. Who is to say who is right or wrong in the absence of specific instructions on what to put in that field?
The advantage of Payer Information = Principal applicant is
(worst case) in event of the receipt getting misplaced/separated at CIO, from a file submission is, if the Receipt was found independently, the officer can link the payment to the application submitted using the Payer Information Name....you don't have a UCI at this point yet. This is why most of the popular opinion is to put the Principal applicant name as payer (as opined clearly by ad123464) thus clearly linking the receipt of payment to the application on top of it being included with the application. Slight disadvantage only in case of refunds - you need to provide more information. And you don't wish to get to a point you need a refund. Least of your worries.
The expectation is that the officer will always link the receipt included in the application is for payment of processing fees/fees of the applicant(s) named in the submission as is always done. And be hopeful as, you (the principal applicant) most likely does share the same surname as your husband (the cardholder) - so again you will have to trust the officer that the appropriate steps be taken to link the payment by inspecting the application details (and that he/she sees your spouse name is the card holder).
As long as there is a correct form/receipt included in the application, with the correct amount of fees for the number of applicants, your application will not be returned. Applications will be returned only in event of payment issues - no fee included or insufficient amount of fees.
/Hope this settles your worries...all the best....(now I will be back to working now....)
