That is an option if he is working here in the Philippines but he is actually working in other country & their employer is the one holding their PPs & his boss doesn't even have an idea that he applied for a PR in Canada. Anyway, only God knows when this PPR will come, I'll just have to wait. Thanks again.

By the way Ragluf, how long is your visa valid?
Hi Cheonfire,

I feel your dilemma, because I am working abroad. And same thing went through my mind, is when to resign -- should I do it now before the PPR or should I quit when we get PPR. Some VO's give 45 days, and like what Ragluf says, some give 30 days notice only, so doon nag panick ako, kasi 30 days notice ang resignation sa akin. So I understand your dilemma because in the middle east, the employers hold their passports, and some employers ask for 2 months notice when resigning. In one of the forums I joined, there's a lady who's husband is in the middle east, nung nag passport request sa kanila, nauna sila'ng mag iina nagpasa ng passport, sumunod na lang yung kay hubby na passport.

So - if your husband's company allows him to courier his passport, then that is your best option. If one month notice lang sila na resignation sa work, and CEM's email for PPR is within 45 days submission, ok din yun, may 15 days palugit pa kayo.

So I understand why you're asking how long the visa validity is - because I believe you're trying to gauge when he can resign. Well your visa validity is your medical validity (which is 1 year from the date of medical dahil 1 year valid lang ang medical). Like in my case, we had our medical last March 2012. Should we be given visa before Christmas (God willing), the visa validity will be till March 2013.

That is why I opted to resign and wait for PPR back home and be with my hubby & daughter, and enjoy our country to the full (for the next 5 months!!) :D but in your case, kung pwede na hindi naman siya mag resign at hintayin nyo matatakan ang visa nyo para may kita pa ng konti si hubby, mas ok yun dahil sayang din kikitain at madugong gastusan pag migrate. Sana nakatulong ng konti ang idea ko :)

+1. Mismo. Captured and explained with empathy and eloquence.
If only VOs at CEM were as discerning... :):):)

@ Cheonfire, that post covers all. My meds were done April this year, and my visa validity (although issue date is Sept 2012) is until April 2013. That is what the PPR letter also stated.

/good luck...

Thank u so much Lakambini and Ragluf, truly your ideas really helps.
Lakambini, I want to ask what happened to this lady who's husband worked in the middle east & submitted their PPs first, how did CIC allow them? I'm considering this as one of my option. Yung option na ipacourier ng husband q PP Nya with company's permission, mukhang Malabo yata yun, sa Arab country din sya baka d sya payagan nun.... My husband is also considering to file his resignation by mid November so he can come home before Pasko so he could enjoy Pasko sa Pinas but if they will give us visa valid till Sept 2013 then both of us will be jobless for about 9 months. Lol. Panu din pala yung within 45 days PP submission? Pasensya na Hirap mag-decide, Hirap din mag-Isip.

Oh ok. Newbie pa pala status mo. When you become a full member dito sa forum (after gazillion posts, i guess, haha), tsaka ka pa lang makaka reply & send private messages. Anyway, welcome to the club of waiting under the AINP! Pareho pala tayo ng programa. Sa mga nababasa kong time line sa Provincial Nominee, after medical, give it about a month (some are quicker though), mag change ang ecas status mo into "medical received" and then after that, give it another month, mag change ecas status sa "in process". Then after mag "in process" in a matter of 2 weeks to a month (some cases upto 4 months!) is passport request (PPR) na. Approximation lang lahat yan ha, hindi sya talaga basehan as standard time processing kasi iba-iba tayong lahat - yung iba, within weeks lang ang usad from 'medical received' to 'in process' to 'PPR'. Happy waiting and God bless :)

Hi guys, hope this message finds you well. I would just like to have some opinion as in the case of PPR then rejected through NOC Code mismatch, is this also applicable in a Family stream Provincial Nomination Application-SINP. I am really worried now because I havent received any message from CEM yet since the submission of my PP through courier last Sep. 19. Your opinion will be deeply appreciated.

I guess you may be tracking the news from "demented's" post. I do not think you should worry yet - like I said on that thread, we lack info on the reasons - especially that he has a consultant, for us to really see why it came to that. Really can't tell how, as he was only providing the reasons in the letter and it looks as if it was a generic response.

The only way we can at least ascertain the processing on your application is by getting GCMS notes and then reading through those - especially if you request paper files - there may be notations done by the VO which can shed light on the status of processing

But still, IMHO any NOC-mismatch should be made known to the applicant in the early part of the process, not during PPR. If you see "goodhope's" post - he was given the opportunity to clarify, and submit additional documents. This is what is expected - during processing, the eligibilty, security, criminality, medical checks/assessments should have been completed prior to PPR - and any inconsistencies shown; in most cases, request for additional documents happen before PPR, along side MR. You should be good if your NOC and skill level does match that of your work history provided in your application - a consistent practicing of the profession/career.

In "that" denial case, it was immediate. Having an intermediary consultant does complicate things in my view. IMHO - most likely there was a request for added docs which was not fulfilled or not received by the applicant, and thus not acted upon; if any supporting doc is missing then the VO is expected to make a decision on available info, and may have seen NOC-mismatch as the most compelling reason for denial.

Another thing - using NOC 2011 vs NOC 2006 (wherein some job descriptions where changed) for applications submitted pre-NOC 2011. The VO should be aware of this and use the relevant NOC list. This is why in that thread, posters were counselling the OP to ask for reconsideration and an explanation rather than just accepting immediately the decision.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/notice-changes.asp

Hang in there... waiting is the hardest part...and believe.

Hi Ragluf thanks for your intelligent opinion. I think NOC mismatch is not applicable for a family stream PNP applicant with regards to the existing criteria back in 2010. Am I right?
