i got ppr request from london office and now they are asking for passport so i went to post office for speed post and they said you can send passport can anyone please help me in this.

shall i send my original passport and document directly to chc-london or not?

I believe it is illegal to mail/courier passports in or out of India. I think they have to be hand delivered by either yourself or another that you give authorization to.

Our appeal was won in March 2010. The file arrived in april in delhi. they started processing on June 11th. We didnt get a single update until Oct 12th. It said medicals received and decision made all at the same time.

If your appeal has not started being processed yet it wont show up on ecase showing anything new. You get a new Bxxxx file number so the old one will not work once the new one is issued.

BOYEEE, How did u get the new file number ? by email or in the mail , i just received new background checks from all the places i have lived , i dont want them to expire , i haven't send them to mexico city because they haven't give me a new file number , my appeal was approved , won on sept 5th , its been 3 months and we haven't hear anything from mexico city.

FINALLY !! Just received a passport request from London

If anyone has posted their passport from here in Canada, what service did you use ??
Im not sure whether to use Priority Mail / Registered or by courier.

How did you get it from your MP office? you asked them to request it , or when you went to check the status on it , they gave u a new file Bxxxxx ?

I dont think that the File number (starting with "B") always changes... I have had the same file number with London office since we first applied and throughout the appeal process.

you can ask dhl or fed ex people they are good as well.

Lizzlou , so your Bxxxxx file number never changed ? Im going thru an appeal process , it was allowed/granted /approved on september 5th 2010. when i go to ecas to check status , nothing comes out.

can you give info in regards to your case ? timeframe , how long after appeal was allowed you heard from the embassy ? im dealing with mexico city

Our application is through the London UK office.. unfortunately the whole process has been VERY slow. First applied in June 2008 and was refused September 2009 -they did not believe the relationship genuine.
My partner finally had an interview (for the appeal) with immigration in Toronto in June this year but it took 3 months before we had any update/ request for information after that.
Immigration in London only ever used the B file number in all email/ postal correspondence.
Thank god we are nearing the end of this long process!
