timeline advice needed

Hello,

We sent our our application on November 1st 2011 and got our PER on the 18th of January. Our 2nd AOR showed on 4th of July ("we started processing your application"). Like a month ago we got our Medical request and sent the medicals with all the papers they asked for a week ago (they have already received them).

What should we expect now? What is the next step and anyone can guess/knows the processing times from now on?

Generally within 3-4 months of MR, assuming no issues there or with your security checks, they will ask you to submit your passport.

That's been my general impression from reading the forums. Some do get it in 2 months, but most seem to wait 3-4 months. That also depends upon the office processing your paperwork.

Generally it takes 3-4 weeks for the Immigration Medical Service to complete evaluation of your medical results; they are then posted into the IMS computer. Someone at the VO must then check to see if your results are available and update your file with them (the two computer systems are not linked - the results are moved manually to prevent confidential medical information from entering your immigration file.)

So, if it is a month for IMS to complete their work, and then a couple of weeks before the VO updates your file, then an officer reviews your file and issues instructions to have you send your passport, it takes several months.

I hope for your sake it goes quickly.

The important sign is when your e-cas says "medical results have been received" because that means you're medicals are in, you passed the examinatino, your file has been updated, and the file is ready to move forward (pending receipt of the security checks).

This means your medicals have been posted to your immigration file. This is good news, because if there was a medical issue, you wouldn't see that on your file at this point.

Congrats! Your file should be moving forward soon.

Hi, i got medical received line in my ecase on 8th september and i got pasport request on 12th october its newyork visa office.
