Do we still have December 2019 Protected person PR applicant or am the only person. This IRCC people are just so annoying. They know how to put somebody under everlasting suspense.
I am May 1, 2019 applicant still waiting, only medical passed. Background check and eligibility still in process. I have a dependent that is my spouse living outside Canada. Totally frustrated.
This is what is most frustrating. What have IRCC been doing then? My own is same. Only medical passed Eligibility Is in process, Background not started. They said they will send message when they start. I forwarded my spouse document to them as requested and yet, nothing have been doing. I just wonder what they have been doing wasting their time for nothing

We also applied in Dec 2019
Passed everything
17th June they requested biometrics for my daughter who will turn 17 in August
On the 18th June she completed the biometrics and updated on the same day on the GCK account that biometrics has been completed
Today I called IRCC they told us that you have passed everything but still the background check for your daughter is in process
Up to now still no updates

Actually, this is more straightforward. If you are not an American citizen, you would need to approach the FBI directly.

You might also want to engage the services of a fingerprinting agent in Canada to get your fingerprints taken professionally on FD-258 cards. Best of luck.
