Welcome to our group, Heleina!
Tell us what kind of application you sent (inland or outland) and what visa office is processing your application, if you don't mind. =)
Maybe you're even going through the same office as one of us and you guys can keep each other updated... =)
Welcome again!

Hi OneLuckyCookie..Thank You for welcoming me. I can see that we are looking at the same timeline.

My husband is the one who submitted the documents to CPC-M. Manila Philippines will be handling my application. I just noticed from other forums that the application from March-May 2009 slow down a bit. Nobody receives yet the PR Visa though the PPR is already 2 months in the embassy.

I hope the slowing down of the processing will not affect the applications from June-August 2009 coz we're under that.. hehe..

I hope you guys do not mind if I join you even though my application is short by 1 day and I am sponsoring orphaned children. I sent my application on August 21, 2009, Received on August 24, 2009 (Confirmation by Canada Post). I check the status everyday using my receipt number for it seems the application has not been opened yet or processed. The timeline for my application does not specify the number of days, it just says priority. Now the waiting starts…

JKM, my orphaned relatives application will be processed at the Nairobi office.

Hey Alice,
welcome to our group. Just to let you know, I could only log onto Ecas two days after the letter of first stage approval had been sent. It might be the same for you.... Good luck with you application! =)

Thanks onecookie, it seems nobody is sponsoring orphaned relatives on this website and I need people to exchange information with. Good luck to everyone.

Hey guys! I also submitted my sponsorship application to CPC-M within this time period (received at CPC-M on Aug. 5). Has anybody who sent in their application at the very end of July or the beginning of August heard anything yet? Specifically, habib890, showell, and Algerina seem to have submitted their applications at a very similar time to me. Have any of you received a letter yet? Are you able to log into ECAS?

The processing times website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#sponsorship) seems to show that CPC-M was processing applications received up until July 30th as of their last update (Aug 24th). Given that piece of information, I was expecting news on my application soon – in fact, I was kind of thinking it would come yesterday or today, but no such luck!

TripleP you should get letter in about 30 days from the application so maybe this Friday or next week most certainly you will get it.

Hey there TripleP

No news from my side yet! I am sooo not a patient person. And, no, I can't get onto Ecas either.

Immigration is my new obsession in life, so be sure that as soon as I know anything I will be on here posting!

Good luck to us all and hope we all have speedy and good news soon...inchallah

Hi zghansar and Algerina. Thanks for the replies!

I guess I just needed to be patient and wait a few more hours because I was able to log on to ECAS this morning with my receipt number and check my application status! According to their system, they received my application on Aug. 6 (a little funny because Canada Post tracking number said Aug. 5, but no biggie!). They started processing, made a decision, and sent me a letter all on Sept. 1. I'm thinking I should get the letter in the mail in the next day or two since I live in Toronto.

Algerina, I totally know what you mean by being obsessed with immigration stuff! I'm constantly tempted to log on to ECAS and checking the mail every day is an exciting and nervous affair (usually followed by the disappointment of no news!).

Anyway, that's my latest status. Hopefully you guys should be hearing something soon as well!
