D:

That is concerning though no surprise. I was surprised that we got this done so fast. I am just worried sending his passport and then if they ask for an interview how is he going to get there.

Like jendrian said, I think you should just do as they say and send it in. I would definately add a note/letter explaining that you're currently in the US. I'm guessing they know that you can't travel without your passport and they would send it back to you in case that an interview is needed..

You're right. I am just always thinking. I hope that by this time next year we can move to Canada. It is hard to make any plans about moving or a job. I am lucky that we are not separated like so many on here are.
Luckily the things they requested we have (except for wedding ceremony pictures). They did not question my intent to move so that was also a positive.

I don't know if all of you lovely September applicants have heard about it yet or not:

there is a tracking site that keeps all the data nicely organized for all of us waiting. It calculates days you have been waiting and it's really nice to sort. It also gives you all different statistics and it is really useful for all future immigrants so please log onto that page and keep people posted about waiting times etc. You can find the page here:

I am so excited. We got our request for passport!!! They also asked for additional proof of relationship (photos of the wedding ceremony). We don't have those because we were married by a notary (a friend) and then had a small family party (we have pictures of that). Any suggestions???
I guess we are almost done. ;D

Congratulations!!
one question:
did they request a police clearance??

I don't think they will ask for an interview if they ask for his passport they want to stamp the visa there, be positive!!!

We had sent the police clearance for FBI and Nicaragua with our application.

That is what I am hoping. It would be so great if we only had 6 months or less to go.

Great news! My hubby got his PPR today! Such a great way to start the weekend off! So happy!

They have asked for additional information. They want more proof of our relationship. We have live together for the last 4 years and I sent them lots last time. Should I just make a package of everything we have: pictures, insurance and joint ownership? I am a little worried as I sent them almost everything that I had last time.
And is it better to send loose pictures or print them on paper? It is not an expense issue but what would be a better choice.

4 Years and they want additional proof? :o

What proof did you provide? Lots of photos? Messages? Spouse or Common Law? Strange... :o

I sent pictures of our wedding reception (lots) and other proof. We got married 3 years ago. Do you think that if I just make a "huge" pack of pictures and everything that I can think of (bank statements, insurance) that it may help? Like I said this made me nervous. Though now I am thinking I could send them my phone bill and all the times we call each other throughout the day even though we see each other each night.

Could you please summarize what you previously sent them with the original application?
