AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt

Some people get them and others (like us) don't. It depends on the visa office processing the application.

I really wish they would start giving more updates on application status so that people would know what is going on. What did the charge your card for and what was the amount?

Recieved AOR today! Dated Nov 17th!!! Hopefully it will move along quickly from here!!! ;D

Does anyone know :

I am thinking to go to canda at ther end of december so i can start my college. however my application is still pending. I think before i go to canda cic is going to request my passport. if i go to canda on the passport card ( i am usa citizen) can my mom mail passport to canada or seattle? i was thinking passports are not suppose to mail by anybody except for the authorized agencies????? somebody told me today that passports can be mailed???

No news from ecas .. .. it has been two months since they received my application.....Hows other America's visa office going?. any news from them... Congrat. to Guatamela VO applicant's javiernica...

Im just getting pararoid well... Just want to hear something before Christmass.. God.... gives us a Christmas gift ...be nice to us lol

Thanks GT25! It feels awesome to be a Permanent Resident! This past Monday I went to a Service Centre and got my SIN number in like 5 minutes. Now just waiting for the card in the mail!

Thanks Aroundtown22, that makes sense.

As we'll be living in Quebec, we had to submit an undertaking application to the Quebec government and pay the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) $250CAD for this extra step. I'm a bit surprised they've made a decision so early as I've been reading that Quebec applications can take an extra 6 weeks to process... So we're very anxious to see what the result is!

My partner's application says We have started processing NAME's application on November 12.
Medicals received.

That's all it says right now.

Yeah, that's right. That's what I had before same as yours when my PR Status changed to In Process..

Ours is still unavailable to this day and we just got letter from Moscow embassy saying file has been in process since Oct. 11th.. So just because system is not updated, doesn't mean nothing is happening necessarily
