Just to keep every one updated .
Request for passprt and police clearances .
My wife went to Manila last week to apply at each embassy . She had worked in turkey and Thailand .
Thai. embassy toled her maybe three weeks for clearance .
Turkish enbassy told her 2 1/2 months for same.

According to her documentation she was given 45 days to have all this done .
She has now requested more time and shown her applications from both embassys .

I wish we would have found out earlier about working in another country and needing police clearances for this .
Oh well , more time to wait .
Now to keep my sanity .

THEBAILEYOHANA thanks very much for your info I just wanted to compare with my application they both look pretty similar! Good luck when you arrive in Canada! Cheers!

Me neither... heard nothing from my VO... can`t see anything on E-Cas either.
hoping that it will be like javiernica... hear NOW that it started A MONTH AGO... heheheh

Ecas says that Decision Made on the application for permanent residence. When I click on the link, it says that "Medicals have been received" and "Decision has been made on the application. The office will contact you concerning the decision".

I am yet to receive any letter for passport request yet. So hoping the decision is good and is request for passport.

Beautiful morning everyone! I am so happy to say I got DECISION MADE on our PR Status on ECAS! Just opened it a minute after waking up and it caught me by surprise! :D

Looks like Buffalo is moving along...good luck to you all still waiting and congrats to those that are done :)

Can someone please add me to the timeline for Buffalo.

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Thought I’d give you an update of my application. Early November CIC sent our entire application back to us because of a missing signature under the dependent declaration (my husband wrote not applicable and didn’t see that signature line below it...nor did I when I checked it) and we didn’t write my husband’s name and date of birth on the back of each set of photos. Unfortunately, the officer put our incorrect postal code (by one letter...must have been a typo) so it took over a week for our application package to return to our address. However, we did get a sticker to put on the front of our application envelope, so that we didn't get put on the bottom of the list.

Thankfully my hubby came over to visit November 11th, so on the 12th we re-submitted our application. In addition I added some more pay slips from my new employer in Canada as I didn’t have the Option C printout because I was working in the UK for four years until August 2010. Furthermore, I submitted my husband’s boarding pass as additional evidence to prove that he actually did come to visit as we indicated on our PR application.

I completely forgot that I signed up for the E-CAS tracker and I received an email last Friday saying...

Latest update:

"We sent you a letter on November 17, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

But of course they didn’t tell us what that decision is, so we are still waiting...yes...I’m nervous :)

I was also wondering if you guys noticed the new CIC website set up for processing times? What I also noticed is that processing times under “London” is now 9 months. But after seeing how quickly the Buffalo office is moving along, and the processing time is 11 months there (shown on the website), I have a bit more confidence that we won’t have to wait for another nine months assuming that all is well with our sponsorship application.

Once again, congrats to all those who are in the next stages. And I hope that I will be there with you soon!

Will keep you updated...

I`m happy for you and all those that got at least an update in their E-cas...

I haven`t had anything yet... since the sponsorship aproval (1st phase), I haven`t heard anything... not even if the visa office received the file... :(
it`s been more than a month since i heard anything :(
and as far as i see, everyone has had their E-cas updated... it is a little frustrating...

@mmhughes

Unfortunately the govt changed how they show the processing times. Now all they show is how long it takes to complete 80% of the applications whereas before it would give you a breakdown of different timelines.

This may sound a bit ignorant but what does 'AOR' stand for?

Just a bit of background... I've applied for a common-law visa with my Canadian partner so we can move back to her home in Quebec. We currently live in Sydney, Australia, which is also our Canadian visa office location.

Our app was received in Mississauga on 22 Sep 2010 and we recieved a letter stating she was elligible to sponsor me on 20 Oct. A few days later, we mailed our additional Quebec forms to the MICC and, while they give no indication of app status, I can see from my credit card statement that they charged my card on 16 Nov.

Anyway, we've been keeping an eye on ECAS these last few days and my Permanent Residence Application Status has just changed to 'Decision Made'... So hopefully that's the answer we were looking for!

Any idea what happens next?
