and hopefully I'm right there too - it's our week this week for sure...... - it's September's turn for sure!!!! We've been waiting a loooonnnnggggg time!

Lucky you! I checked Ecas and they only mentioned the date they received the application as well as that the medical results have been received.. Nothing about processing..

Though, this little update only occurred AFTER I visited the embassy a short while ago. So if I visited again, you think they'd give my spouse permanent residency?

I think they might not actually begin processing it until like 6 or 8 months in... Hence maybe why they don't mention it.. It's a long process here (12 months). I guess I should be happy that they have finally updated ecas at least...

ECAS update first thing this morning - a decision has been made on our application for PR. Said the office will be contacting us regarding this decision - OMG it better be good news!!!!

Buffalo office - it came in at 5:48am today.....email from the carroll org site. I also checked myself and sure enough - its says decision made, you will be contacted by this office! I checked the ECAS site myself last night before bed (11pm) and there was no update.

Thanks - I hope it is congrats - not sure if they send an email requesting passport or a letter or what??? I am using a immigration specialist so everything will go to him.....OMG I hope it's positive!!!

It's most certainly positive. Think about it - they wouldn't decide to outright deny your application without contacting you about it (e.g. requesting an interview, wanting additional documents, etc.)

THIS IS A GOOD THING!

Now hurry up and pass the champagne.

Edit: They should send you an email (be sure to check your spam folders) with subject 'Passport Request' (not sure of the exact email address it comes from), and also a physical letter by mail. It may be a few more days/week before either arrive. I'd keep a close eye out.

Wow that is great news!! Congrats, sounds like good news to me. What was the last update you had before this? Ours in in que for final review by an officer.

Last update we had was "started processing November 15th, medical received. You will be next!!!!
