FINALLY!

I went directly to the office on May 31 to bring the papers for the CSQ and TODAY! (only today..) i received everything back in the mail! SERIOUSLY! it was making me mad.. and the letter was dated.......................... JUNE 15!!! lol.. f.. Canada Post.. lol it took only 2 weeks but 3 weeks to get to me! Now lets wait for the VO..

Ill also email my VO a copy of the CSQ.. just in case.. haha

Congratulations! and good luck on the final leg of your application :D

It's good to hear that they are processing CSQ applications quicker than the stated processing times and I'm hoping Canada Post will have cleared their backlog a bit but the time MICC mail us ours! :P

guys just want to thank u for all this sharing of valuable experience which will be so handy for us when we'll arrive at this stage; good luck for all :)

My CSQ took only 2 weeks for processing, but about 2 more weeks to arrive. I believe I sent it arrived April 27th and they had made a decision by May 13 and sent the letter that day. I received the CSQ a couple weeks later on May 27th via regular post (before the strike!).

NEWS!! Just day before yesterday I received my PPR......Montreal here we come!

Thank goodness, all the waiting is almost over.

Good luck to all.....I'm sure you'll see movement soon!

Still waiting to receive our CSQ, which London are eagerly awaiting :(

Gonna ring MICC (as it's been 20 days) to find out if a decision's been made and whether or not it's been posted.

LOL! I love that picture! :P

@Darque

I was on the same boat, I sent our request to MICC on May 31 and was received on June 3, funny me and my wife had to make a conference call because they will give information only to her (I'm being sponsored while I'm in NY) and they told us that everything was finished and to have a little bit of patience because of the backlog Canada Post had.

Later the same day we called, my wife called me to tell me she received my CSQ, that was this past Monday July 11, the date on the CSQ was June 20!!!, anyways the letter stated that they communicated their decision to the VO in Buffalo but in any case I will be sending copies of the approval next week.

My e-cas hasn't move from the same status, Application received on June 6, so I will wait a few weeks before starting to email them to inquiry about status, I did pay my RPRF after I sent our application and I know it was processed because I can login to e-cas using the receipt number.

I'm still hoping the whole application will be finished in the 6 months time frame, (we are in the middle 3 months) so we can celebrate our second year anniversary in October by me being in Canada and I can start my new job there too.

Well hope this info help the ones waiting, and good luck to everyone!

HURRAY!!

I called MICC today to find out about my undertaking application and my husband's CSQ. We were approved on 11 July !!

The agent advised me that they have informed & sent a copy of the CSQ to the VO electronically and that our copy has been posted. Just got to wait for it now but at least I know we're approved and London can now carry on with our application. I'll be sending them an extra copy when we receive ours :D

Guys please help me out here, im a bit confused... I already mailed my initital application to mississauge (my sponsorship and my wife's permanent resident application with all the evidence)... i was told that mississauga will approve you THEN you have to send in selection certificate form to quebec... but now im hearing two different things... :o

Are you applying to live in Quebec? then yes it's a 3 part process:

1. You send the application to sponsor and the application for permanent residency to Mississauga.
2. Once Mississauga approves you as a sponsor they will send you a letter or email stating to continue your process with MICC Quebec, here is where you have to submit an application for a CSQ.
3. Once that's completed and only when the visa office in charge of your application receives the CSQ from Quebec then they will start processing the application for permanent residency.

Hope this clarify your questions.

Yes that was me replying to you in your other thread :)

CIC (Canada) and MICC (Quebec) are two different "stages"

Stage 1

You send your initial application, PR application and supporting evidence to Mississauga. After 40 days or so, you will get approved and receive an email or letter confirming this. This letter will contain your Client ID number.

Stage 2

You need a copy of this email (or letter) to send with your undertaking & CSQ applications to MICC. After 20 days or so, you will get approved. They will inform the visa office abroad and mail you the CSQ.

Then...

Visa office processes PR application, requests passport and issues visa.

aaah relief.. :D thanks darque again and nyque for the clarification.

one more question, the csq is the selection certificate form.. what about the the undertaking, is that for quebec as well? that i can get from their website correct?

You're welcome! and yes the undertaking is for Quebec.

All the forms you need (undertaking & csq application forms, checklist, etc) are on their website page above :D
