Hi all
Love reading about your experiances, it makes me feel good about when it is our turn.
I have my medical next Tuesday and then be sending it on the Wednesday.
Feels like we have been putting this together for a long time, but its only been since April lol.
I know the waiting is going to drive me mad but at the same time it gives me something to look forward to.
I will let you know Pink lady when i have sent it so you can add me to the speed sheet thanks guys :)

Ok yep, let me know.

LOL, the fun was in leaving the tracker to do the work and getting out to enjoy Canada while I waited :)

Ah, I understand... But now you are, as you say - "finally livin' the dream!!!"

FWIW I still can't see the point of logging on to eCAS to be disappointed 99% of the time :)

Me either, I just couldn't help myself! :D

All I do now is make sure I log my days in Canada for my citizenship - as I have been in Canada for a while I will get quite a few days credited :)

Of course, after applying for citizenship, I can then spend my time waiting for CIC ... AGAIN !

How exciting! I have wait years until my fella can get his citizenship. I don't know how I'm going to fill my days waiting until I can get back in the waiting game!!

Can you count days in Canada before "landing"? How does one log days?

Well, CIC will only count the 4 years before you apply for your citizenship, so at best you can only use days from the two years before getting PR.
Each day in Canada counts as half a day towards the citizenship count, but you can only claim a maximum of 365 days towards your "pre PR" total.

To get the full 365 days for those 2 years, you must have never left Canada during that time except for day trips (nothing overnight).
Be aware that all days spent outside Canada count against you when you are talking about citizenship.

I keep proof of all my travel outside of Canada, tickets, bookings, photos etc - It's just like gathering info for PR !

If I made it too confusing, tell me - it is late here :)
