I can see that from your timeline and it makes me worry too :O

hope you hear that one good news soon mate, mine is still have no status actually since I am yet to get a client ID for myself(using my wife's ID), only thing we can pick up from here to hope for a speedy process like other fello londoners having!

its one of the hardest things I have learnt in past few months to live without my sweetheart and our sweet little angel :(

Can I mail my application directly to CPC Mississauga's PO Box using Express post or DHL from outside Canada? or should I send it to my husband in Canada?

Hey,
You can mail it directly to Mississauga without being in canada, but if you are using a courier such as DHL then you need to use the following address...

Courier address (no public drop-offs)
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 1200
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

If you use mail service then you can use the CPC address...

CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4N6

Good luck!

Hi, I just came accross this thread and I'm wondering if someone can offer any advice. My husband has been approved for his permanent residence visa and dropped his passport off at the London Visa Office last Thursday which means he is supposed to pick it up on July 14th. Basically, I'm wondering if it's really risky to go ahead and book a flight for the 15th or if it's generally the case that the visa is ready on the stated date (2 weeks after its dropped off). We're wondering this because air transat is by far the cheapest airline to fly with and I have heard that they may be going on strike as of July 19th, so we'd like to get a flight with them before that! If anyone has any advice, that would be much appreciated!

Also, if anyone is interested in my timeline...we submitted the application on March 8th, got sponsorship approval on April 7th and got our PPR email on June 27th. They also asked for more information by email on June 14th, we sent it in on 17th and got PPR on the 27th, so it was a quick turnaround.

I sent my husbands application in april to cic in missasauga. in may they returned coz i missed the medical form but i got the client id number.I re sent it june(delayed coz got stuck in canada post crisis ).Does anyone know if they continue the process from there or it goes back to the bottom of the pile? :( :( :(.

Hi Rosey,
I havent heard of any cases where the passport hasnt been ready for pickup after 2 weeks, however its still risky.... perhaps you could book a refundable ticket for a higher cost then at least you could change it if you needed too. Just for that extra piece of mind. The stress of this process is too much already without the added stress of possibly losing a flight.
I will add you to my london spreadsheet, thanks for sharing!

Application was recieved at Mississauga this morning (thank you Regan for signing for it!) Can I be added to the spreadsheet please? :D
So excited/nervous/scared/happy-the-bloody-thing-is-out-the-house!! Fingers crossed for a super quick turnaround!

woo hoo jenb great feeling isn't it?
now you have to count the days till sponsorship approval!
all good fun lol

Thank you!

And waiting for sponsorship is much better than waiting for canada post! lol I'm sure i won't think that in a couple of days though ;)

Hi guys,

I posted in the March thread as well, but just in case anyone wants to know... I got my request for my passport today!!
I am lucky, it was a pretty straight forward timeline, with the CSQ causing extra processing time.

Getting to the point of finishing the application was not easy though... all the docs and the form filling, not to mention the fees (medical exams, translated docs on top of the sponsorship fees!!)

Finally got here though, and big thank you to many of you on this thread and this forum (who, perhaps, are not reading it so much anymore!!) who really helped me in the application process part. This forum helped me with what docs to send, how to put together the file... any others bits of tips and advice!
I was even about to apply inland until I found this forum!!

Thank you so much!
