OMG OMG!! Just thought I'd give Ecas a quick check and it's been updated.....

We received your application for permanent residence on March 9, 2011.

We started processing your application on May 13, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Not heard anything.....EEEEK....I feel a little bit ill. Is there a possibility it could be bad news?? :( I wasn't asked to go to interview or send in more documents. I wish they'd just post what the decision was!!

Hope everyone gets news soon!!

Sounds exactly how mine went and i received an email with PPR about 2 weeks later ...Sounds like good news to me!! :D

2 weeks later!? I have to sweat it out for 2 more weeks!? Oh man!! Hopefully I do get a PPR and not a rejection! ???

Man, I think this is worse than no updates....my heart is racing. I'm not telling any family or friends until I know what the decision actually is.

If it is a PPR, I will be taking it to London rather than mailing it. :)

If they had wanted more documents they would have asked for it ...If they thought the relationship wasnt genuine they would have called you in for an interview ...good thoughts coming your way ..

My husband took his passport into London last Thursday and is picking it up on the 26th ...On June 4th he is flying out so we can be back together ...its been worth it the whole way but it hasnt been an easy one ...

Thank you for the good thoughts!! I am so happy you and your husband will be together soon. June 4th is my birthday - so good date haha :D

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! :)

Well lets hope your PPR comes in the form of an early birthday present wrapped in a large bow ... ;D

That would be nice!!

Once I know what the decision is - providing it is PPR, that last bit of waiting I think will be easy compared to the past 4 months. At least then I can book a date to count down to!! :D

Hello everyone,

I've been silently reading these forums for quite a few months since our sponsorship application now (October) and I have to say this is the only source of some comfort while waiting without any clue of what's going on on the other side :)

I was hoping someone could answer how to reach the CHC-London's passport processing division?

We were asked to mail my wife's passport (PPR) on 3/28 and we confirmed receipt via courier on 4/4. It was 6 weeks as of Friday and since this is the upper bound we are getting very worried. Someone mentioned they were able to speak to an individual at the CHC-London's passport division after 6 weeks, but we couldn't find such a contact by both scouring their website and even calling the CHC-London. They only sent us to a voicemail.

We need to book a flight ticket soon and want to know at least if the passport is on its way back or still awaiting processing.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks!
Twoone

Sorry Twoone, I can't help you, but I'm sure someone will be a long who can.

I can't imagine what you must be going through with that wait. I don't know how it can take so long!! I'm going to be taking mine to London as 6 weeks is crazy!!

Hope you get an answer soon!! :)

e-CAS reported the same about my case at the end of February and I am still waiting to hear something. I honestly hope it is only 2 weeks wait in your case however just so you know, it has been like that for nearly 3 months for me.

Hey, thanks for the response..

I actually got the PPR email few days before the status changed on e-cas. Hence why I have mailed the passport in as per their instructions. The instructions said 2-6 weeks before contacting but didn't provide any specific way to contact.

I saw a post here that someone was able to "talk" to someone because they were in a similar boat and had passed that timeframe. Haven't been able to figure out how to "talk" to someone yet.

anyone know roughly how long it will take the sponsor approved application to get from CPC-M to London office?

thanks

Does anyone know when first contact is made by CIC Missigua? Is it when they start to look at the application or only once sponsorship is approved?

Usually once the file is looked at in mississauga a decision is made very quickly, same day, or within a day or 2.
You would be able to see on ecas whether a decision has been made and when they started to process it. I received a letter from mississauga just over a week after I saw decision made on ecas.
They will send the first contact, letter or email, when a decision is made. Not when they first look at the file.

Thanks pinklady, at least I know now that it's ok if I don't hear for anything for a while!

Does anybody in here have any experience with landing at Toronto Pearson Airport from London after the passport is stamped with the visa and COPR is given? I was curious to see if immigration searches your luggage when entering and if we will need a list of goods being brought in? ...any help would be greatly appreciated ...
