Thanks a lot.
We will send it off asap.
We still haven't received any correspondence from the London office and our file transfer was 2 months ago.

I wouldn't worry just yet, I didnt hear anything for 2 and a half months. And now I'm left waiting AGAIN.

Consider all the bank holidays they have had lately too, You should be close though :)

mine took 3 months and 1 day exactly. Received jan 19th PPR April 20th

It feels weird posting on here afterwards. The wait seemed awful at the time but now looking back it seemed to go by really quickly.

Well, my husband dropped off his passport at the High Commission today and will be picking it up in 2 weeks ...the plane is booked for June 4 and everything is all in motion ...Our process was extremely quick but the waiting time was absolute killer ...I can sympathize with all that are waiting and going through this dreadful process but the end result makes it all worth it ...

I had got the approval for my sponsorship of my husband from cpc mississauga on November 08, 2010 and it's says on ecas that the file was transferred on December 02, 2010 to London High Commission. I've noticed that people who applied after this date have already received their visa. Does this mean my husband will get an interview and if so how long are they taking to schedule an interview. I wanted to know of the people that got interviews recently when was their file transferred to the London high commission. Thank you in advance.

those last three posts tell the whole story.....could easily be a couple of months or half a year!

just have to sit back and enjoy the ride id say

thanks

Hi. I'm waiting for PPR (been waiting 2 and a half months already) but when it comes through I may drop it off at the High Commission like your husband has done. What's the deal with that? Are they ok with anyone doing that? Do you have to make a special appointment/ arrangements? Thanks

You can drop off your passport at the High Commission only on Thursdays between 2 and 3 pm ...no appt necessary ..just show up with your PPR letter, 2 visa photos and your passport ...you will be given a ticket with a number on it stating you can pick up your COPR and passport with your visa two weeks from the date stamped on the ticket ...easy as 1,2,3 ...

I have sent my application in februari 2011 and they started processing in London in march 2011. Does anyone know if its gonna take along time? Im Swedish waiting in Sweden for the PR and my husband is Canadian, living in Quebec. Its so frustrating to wait and not to hear anything.

Hi koku99

EveryOnes case is different. My file was transferred to London before urs (26 nov 2010) n I m still waiting. This does not mean tht we will get an interview. I m in Canada n when I applied for visit visa they told me that my case was on final stages. But it's been two months since then n I can only wait.

am so close to completing our application now!
just dotting the i's and crossing the t's (or is that the other way round)

congratulations to all those moving along the process nicely!!

can anyone who has deendent children over 18 tell me how they went about getting the dependent child to fill in form IMM5406 additional family information?
my daughter is 21, but section A doesn't appear to have a category for her to fill in
yet it clearly states on appendix A that she must fill this form in

any help gratefully received :)

Just a little bit of FYI ... while my husband was waiting to hand in his passport at the High Commission, he overheard somebody asking one of the immigration officers how long it takes to get a response from an email sent to them ...they were advised approx 28 days ...so anybody that has emailed them keep your hopes up ....
