My hubby got his PPR yesterday YEAH!!!! His application status changed to 'Decision Made' on Monday, and the PPR was received via email from London yesterday. We did get a little discouraged at the end of February when others, who had had their sponsorship applications approved around the same time as us in mid-January, got their PPRs. Reading this forum everyday has been so helpful (and encouraging) in realizing that not all applications are approved so fast. Some will take a few months longer but, sooner or later, PPRs will be sent out. So I'd like to tell everyone who is still waiting for PPRs, please don't get discouraged, it will happen. This is a great forum, and it has been very interesting reading all the informative posts, and it has been so wonderful to see so much support everyone has had for each other. I will keep reading the forum as I am interested to see how everyone's application will be progressing, and if anyone has any questions, I will be more than happy to reply. Good luck to you all.

PPR!   :D

I cannot convey in writing the primeval scream I just let out followed by a few tears.....and that was just the relief of not having (sic!) to look at ecas 4,5,6 7.....times a day!

Email dd London 15.54 Wednesday

Visa to expire 11 Dec 2011

I last had this feeling of starting a new stage of my life back in 1988 when I received my letter from the Australian High Commission in London saying I had been accepted to migrate on my own - yes I am a bit of a serial PR applicant! lol

As previously posted, we have bought a house in Canada and go (from my sponsor's house in the US) on May 31 to settle the purchase and move in so I can at last get my furniture etc on a ship from Sydney!

For the benefit of others, ours was a same-sex common-law application, we met in April 2009 and lived together since Aug 2009 but never in a jointly rented or jointly owned house, no commonly owned possessions and travelled the world (3 months in Australia/3 months in UK, rest in US) during our 12 months but we did have all our flight tickets, photos and 14 letters of support + 3 affidavits from family and friends around the world.

No interview.

Thank you everyone who has taken the time to post on this forum, and especially those who have been successful but remain to help those coming after as I intend to. Now it is my turn to wish everyone good luck and hang in there!

Thanks for the congrats and best wishes :) Passport is being sent to London this afternoon and we expect for hubby to land in late June or early July if it does take 6 weeks for the passport to be returned like most of you have been experiencing.

AKGAZ Congratulations and best wishes to you both! You are feeling what my hubby felt yesterday -- happy and relieved LOL. And I don't have to check ecas 20 million times a day either LOL

It will come :)

My hubby knew I was the one he was going to marry when he was 16 while vacationing here in Canada -- that was 32 years ago!!! (We were penpals for 2 1/2 years before that) We dated and wrote and phoned each other for a few years, but eventually life took us on different paths, but he never stopped loving me. Over the last few months, his father has kept telling us -- we have waited 32 years, so what's a few months more LOL It doesn't matter how long or how short a period we are waiting for our PPRs, we still want to be with our spouses/partners now, and not wait anymore. But it will come, don't get discouraged. I thought ours would take so very long as we have been previously married and have adult kids, and a longer life history, but the process was 5 months from start to the PPR, so I think a lot of our applications are getting processed well below the 8 months posted as the processing time for the London visa office -- I think that is a good sign :)

Hello Everyone,
We submitted our application early february and patiently waiting for PPR.
Can anyone assist in telling me how we can submit additional documents to the London office.
We have the original police report that we would like to send in asap.
Thanks

AKGAZ, congrats!!!!

It took almost a week for our Ecas to be updated. I got the notification from our immigration lawyer and immediately logged on to Ecas only to see "application received". One week to the day later, it now says "decision made".

Probably the best feeling in the world!
