Thank you so much for your help ...I pray that you will have your PPR soon along with everybody that has had to wait through this long process ...Keep your chin up and have faith ...its hard but worth it in the end ...

congratulations shykitten!
i got all the photographs done at max spielmann, very reasonable cost, 10 quid for 18!! and the girl was really helpful and made sure she followed the specific instructions to a T!

i have a little question too, maybe fellow london visa'ers can help ma, i've done a search but nothing has come up...

i need my ex husbands consent for my daughter, 13, to emigrate with me.
he is now willing to give his consent, but what exactly does the letter he signs need to say?

thanks in advance!

Many congratulations to you indeed, it's nice to see London moving along...we are still keeping our fingers crossed for news soon.

@Kelly. That must be very frustrating, especially when you have done so much, the advice you give will help many with their applications if they go down a similar route.

As for feeling deflated, there is quite a few of us in that 'place', some days are easier than others. I'm currently visiting my hubby here in Canada and hoping for some news soon.

Thank You so much. If I can help somebody else through my mistakes then atleast some good can come of it! Like so many other people I've watched this forum throughout the whole process, keeping a close eye on this thread and peoples progress. It's been very reassuring and informative seeing other peoples stories, and how they are coping at this stressful time. Although being here without work, a family, or a life is tough, I find the prospect of living in a seperate country from my partner even harder, kudos to all of you guys going through that.

I'm just hoping they reach a decision soon now we have sent more information. I can handle either way, we just want our lives back on track. Fingers crossed it doesnt take another 3months :(

Fingers crossed for you lnl, are you here on a 6month visitors visa? I've just applied for mine to be extended, so I'm waiting on news for that too haha!

Yes currently as 6 mths visitor, it would have been up in May but we had our honeymoon in March so the 6 mths was reset, so visiting till august. And I agree being away from family and friends is hard, but we are hopeful and we know this would be even harder apart. We look forward to news soon and wish the same for everyone.

Hi inl

I m also in Canada as a vistor. I ve visa for 9months which will finish in jan next year. I believe I can only live here 6 months? Do I need to extend the permission ? If so WTs the procedure? Though I ve visa for 9months.

Thnx
Naz

@Naz we checked with call centre who informed us the 6 mths resets after I leave Canada and return as a visitor. This is not something to do indefinitely as there is a system to follow. When we returned from our honeymoon immigration asked a few questions but we just answered honestly, I'm here visiting my hubby for 6 mths, won't be working and we are currently going through the citizenship application process. Obviously waiting till 6 mths are up then crossing the border and returning would raise eyebrows but we follow all procedures and check with officials. Hopefully we have some news before my 6 mths is up :-)

Ooo honeymoon, hope you had a wonderful time!

Naz you can extend your visitor status online and pay online if you need to. You're supposed to do it 30days before the date you have to leave though. I did mine online just before easter, it was pretty straight forward. It's 75$. I asked for a 6month extension. Now I just gotta wait for an e-mail to see if it gets granted or not.

After nearly 2 weeks from despatch, I have finally managed to sort out my delivery issues and it's finally been delivered to CPC-M today!

I'm so happy it's finally arrived there safely! Don't think I could of handled starting again. I'm finally in the queue ;D

Congrats Shykitten, amazing news! I'm so happy that things are moving again at the London office...

It's so hard to not to let this process bring you down - we're lucky to be together, but the waiting is so hard. Since the file arrived in London in March, not a peep - I guess that's normal but it's driving us both insane esp cos my partner misses his family so much after being in the UK for 4 years. We just want to get back there and start our new life!

If one more person asks if we have the visa yet, I'll cry! :'(

Sorry, rant over...just a bad day of waiting :(

Hi Kelly

Thnks for reply . Wt sorts of doc I need to submit? After my 6 months I will still ve a visa for 3 months on my passport so should I say further 3 or 6 months ?

Hopefully I should hear before my first 6 months as already it's been 5 months in progress n there processing time is max 8 months. Hope for the best.

Thnx

It's really easy to do online actually. They wanted scanned copies of my passport and proof of how I could support myself financially, I just used bank statements. I just stressed that the reason I was extending was so that I could be with my partner while we await news from my outland common law sponsorship wherever I could. I did read before hand on forums that it is good to include a scanned copy of my partners sponsor confirmation, but when you fill in the form online and attach the documents there wasnt any space. They ask specific things, and there was no room to attach additional documents. It does say if they need futher documents they will e-mail though. Took all of 40mins :)

I wouldnt know what to suggest with regards to how long you should extend for, sorry. It has a drop down box with different months...I chose 6 but there was options to extend for a longer or shorter period of time.

Hi Kelly
Thnks for ur reply tht will definately help me if I get to tht stage

Naz

I cried everyday the process showed decision made ...and it ticked me off beyond all control when i was asked "have you heard anything yet"? ...i was like, do you see me dancing around all happy ...these aren't tears of joy your seeing ...but the wait is finally over and the stress is lifted ...but i can sympathize with you all ...don't ever give up hope ...my husband and i have been together for over 3 years and finally we can be a married couple like everybody else ...wishing each and every one of you get PPR very soon ...

I must add, without these forums and everybody on them, I wouldn't have made it through ...I appreciate all the advice and support I have gotten and i will continue to do the same for all of you ...so hats off to you all and a big thank you ;D ;D 8) 8)
