My advice is that there is no such thing as a Canadian PR "lite" application. The authorities wave through the no brainers - (like married 10 years with eight children!) but focus most on those just over twelve months (obviously a scammer is most likely to just have the minimum|) and those lacking hard evidence AND ongoing / future commitment to each other and/or Canada - the last applies to the sponsor too.
So anything you can do to show that you are committed to each other and intend to live in Canada - whatever the cost, would be in your interests.
As you can read on these blogs, 99% of people are desperate to live (with their partners) in Canada.
Hope this helps a little.
We def are desperate to live in Canada!! We have been living together well over a year now but for the first 6 months we were not paying anything as we were living with family in the UK. It's just sooooo very stressfull!! We have tried searching for jobs to get a work offer but Canadians will be considered first for teaching jobs so that has not been looking positive, he doesnt apply under the skilled worker or youth mobility so this just seems like the best option.
We would like to move ASAP!! when the visa is finalized we plan on coming back to Canada where my parents have allready agreed to have us live with them.
How much does it all end up costing at the end with application finalized? We have started putting the portfolio together so want to include everything we can!!!
thanks
