i sent email a week and half ago, but they didnt give any information about my passport.

BLAH! :P

Hopefully there is PPRs for those who are waiting and hopefully we who are waiting passports back, will get them soon.

They didnt even bother responding to my emails, blah, never mind lol!
I think you will definately get it back this week, friday I think.
Good luck!!! :)

Hi Shandymoo..

Drop-off is easy, the High Commission is open every Thursday for drop-off and collection between 2pm & 3pm.

I turned up just before 2pm and had to queue for about 30 minutes, then got asked to come into the reception area. I just handed over my passport, 2 photos, and the Updated Information form (sent with the PPR e-mail) to the guy on reception who sealed everything in a plastic wallet and gave me a receipt that I need to present next Thursday to get my passport back.

There were two queues when I was there, 1 for collections and the longer one for submissions, the collection queue was dealt with before the people submitting passpoers

If you can drop-off and collect in person I would advise it, its an easy process and your passport is ready in 2 weeks.

Regards,

Derwig

If it has been that long then they will respond to your phone call, therefore, you will definitely speak to a human being. I would call if I were you. Also, are you in the UK or Canada?

Thanks.

I was all for doing this until I saw that the train fare would cost as much as a flight to canada!!

You make it sound so straight forward! Unless of course you are the unlucky ones who have the doors slammed in their face because it's past 3pm. Or those of us who live so far away! But you are right, if you have the chance to go this route do it!

Sorry about that! I pulled all the info from the different monthly threads. I will update it.

So no passport, no email today. It's only been 4 weeks, but I am going to London tomorrow to see if I can plead my case in person. Doesn't sound optimistic given derwig's description that they only let you into the foyer, but what the hell. I figured £80 return train fair was worth the investment to try to salvage some hope of using my non-refundable non-changeable return air fare to Vancouver which leaves on Saturday! ouch! Surely they can't turn down a simple request to get my passport back visa or no visa?

Thanks for the excellent information. I'm going to keep this in mind for the future. I'd rather my husband go drop it off and maybe get here a bit sooner!

I hate stalking my mailbox. I feel a romance starting to develop between us! Where in the heck in my letter!

Hi everyone
Just an update on our timeline. Our application was received on March 11th and our Ecas has just changed today, to Decision Made. It says they processed the application on April 11th and sent a letter the same day.

Fingers crossed it's a nice letter :)
