I emailed CIC London on 16th February to find out what was going on, and they replied on 18th.

This is what the response from CIC was:-

Dear Ms. xxxx,

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

Your passport was sent to the following address on 15 February 2011:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Yours sincerely,

ACD

Thanks for replying! I'm SO impatient!!! But I guess i'll just have to wait.
Thanks again

No probs. And I know how bad it is for this final waiting...

:)

SO bad!!
But I know I mustn't grumble, the hard part is over right??!! Argh!

Samba, have you definately got an interview? Did they send you a letter telling you so?

I am not sure of exact timings, but I have seen people get a letter telling them they are going to be asked for an interview, then another letter follows about a month later with the interview date, which is approx 3 months away.

I looked it up because I was worried about being called for one.
There is info on this forum and others who've been interviewed at London may be able to help more.

Hey,

I'm just starting to get my knickers in a twist and was hoping for a bit of advice...

The London Office has had my PR Application since November 18th and it's been 'In Process' since the 21st Jan.

It seems a lot of folk with a similar timeline have had their Passport request by now. I wouldn't have thought it would be too complicated as my common-law partner is Canadian and we don't have any dependants or anything like that.

Although, I have had 2 previous 12 month Visa's, so perhaps there is a lot of security checks to go through.

The only other thing is that they are calling me in for an interview; although reading forum's it doesn't seem many people get called to London for interviews. If an interview was requested, does anyone know approximately how long after they start processing an application, they call you in?

Anyway, congratulations to everyone who has heard and fingers crossed for everyone else! :)

Hi i am in the same boat as you are. My case is under security checks as i traveled in the past to Canada and to other countries.

Hope we get our results soon.

Regards

Naz

Hey! I got the visa extension today! Finally.
It's dated March 8th, and it's valid until December 1st 2011.
It took forever to get it, i sent the application October 18th 2010 and today I got the visitor record by mail.

Now just waiting my passport back, almost 2weeks since London received it :)

Hi Naz,

It sounds like we maybe in the same boat; although I havent had definite confirmation that mine is under 'security checks'. I emailed them last week, but don't expect to hear anything as it hasnt been 6 months yet.

Pinklady,

Sorry, my bad wording. I haven't been asked for an interview. But I am just guessing that is a likely scenario. But thanks for the info.

Thanks for all the advice

hey folks,

what email address are you sending to london to query when you'll be getting back your passport? ive sent mine a week ago but would hope to have it back 1st week in april. might email them next week but whats the address?

congrats to everyone who has been making progress here this past few weeks!

Hi Guys,

I emailed about my passport by replying to my PPR email. My Passport was received in London on February 21st and they posted it back yesterday March 16th, so I am hoping I will receive it here in Canada hopefully early next week. They gave me a tracking number but I am pretty sure I can only track it until it leaves the UK, and not with Canada Post.

If it is Royal mail you may be able to track via the CP site - I have in the past.

I emailed them a week ago asking the same thing and haven't had a reply. As per MDU's question, where are you sending these emails? Just using the webform on their website?

Ah cool thanks! We'll do that tonight.

Hi All

A couple of questions, not sure if anyone will be able to help??

1) Why has almost everyone applying through London in December heard sometime ago and for me there has been no change!!??!

2) Should I be able to log into Ecas using my (the applicants) details? currently I only seem to be able to access using my girlfriends (the sponsors) details.

3) where would I stand If I decided to go to Canada before I got my PPR and Visa? what would be the chance of them allowing me in if I had only booked a one way flight?

Any help on this would be much appreciated. She is starting to go mental!!!!

Apologies to anyone also reading the December thread as I have also posted the same thing there!!
