Oooohhh you have NO idea ! Every minute is a mini countdown in my crazy little head !

Every time we fill the car with petrol for £1.30lt I have to remind myself "not for much longer"....see, I'm at least 90 seconds closer to Canada just from typing this !!!!

I'm in Ottawa and it's gone up to $1.20 per litre since Libya kicked off. And people are complaining... ::)

I apologise. My fella is always making fun of me for saying it, I promise to start writing it too!!!

I unfortunately have started saying it haha, "it's good eh?" "it's cold eh?"

I was just updating the london spreadsheet again and 5 london people got PPR yesterday, next to hear hopefully will be Samba 18 and MDU, then shorttalk and jen85.
Fingers crossed for you guys!!

Hi, I am new to this forum and have been closely following all the threads. I will be applying for PR under common-law in April. I have to say this is a great, friendly and helpful site. Good luck to all who have applied and waiting for their PR to be granted.

I posted mine last night but i am not expecting to get it back for at least 3 weeks. Letter said you might be without passport for up to 6 weeks eek!! Hope not.
Hopefully not too much more waiting left for you.
Good luck!

And these last 2 weeks seem to have flown by!

It's been 2 weeks and 2 days since the passport was delivered for us. As pinklady said, we're hoping to have it returned with the shiny new visa at the 3 week mark (next Monday).

Rob.Barrett and MikeUK, you're both in England right now?

i am yes - getting minorly annoyed as i want to book flights/leave my job soon as poss

How much notice do you need to give at work?
I'd be so impatient, would probably guess at 3 or 4 weeks and hand in the notice. Where will you fly to?

I've only gotta give a week which is good, but id like to book a flight soon as poss due to the ever increasing fuel charges. Will probably flight from Heathrow to Toronto direct. Probably with Air Canada

Air transat/Canadian affair are usually much cheaper, but obviously not as good as Air Canada.
A week is pretty good.
Be patient, the hard work is done, thats what I keep telling myself!
