'Signed for tracked' should be 3/4 days to Toronto and a day or two to the Peg.

but if they don't feel like forking out for that - takes ages.

Good luck with that! I sent my whole spousal sponsorship pack by Royal Mail Track / Trace / Signed for to Mississauga. Took 3 days to get out of the UK, then disappeared for 3 week until it arrive at Mississauga. Just trying to inject a note of realism is all....... You ask for experiences, that is mine!

Is there any way of getting a tracking number if I was to call CIC?
None whatsoever - I didn't think CIC don't sent by 'track and trace' anyway (they certainly sent mine within the UK by regular mail)??.

It wouldn't help you anyway, coz what they don't tell you is that the Royal Mail tracks it every step of the way until they put it on a plane. There is then NO further tracking from that point on until it is actually signed for in Canada - Canada Post do not pass on any tracking information other than when it is signed for. I suspect that it gets hung up for quite some time in customs, but only a guess. I was merely relating my own experience when I sent my stuff track and trace.

Look, you might get lucky, all I am saying is don't fret it you don't get anything for 3 or 4 weeks, it does not mean it is lost. In the past I have sent cards and letters from the UK to Canada by regular Royal Mail / Canada Post and they have routinely taken 2 or 3 weeks to arrive.

The only reason I am asking is I have a wedding in Germany on the 13th of this month. If my visa doesn't come I was worried that I would not be able to get back in to Canada as a visitor until it came. If I was to go now and show them
My CIC letter would that be enough for them to allow entry for the time
It came in the mail?

If the wedding is ON the 13th, then I assume you will be flying out earlier? You would be wise (and probably right) to assume that your CoPR will NOT arrive in time - personally, I would be amazed if it did arrive before you flew.

What is your nationality, British? I ask because if you are from a visa exempt country, then you would need an ETA to be able to board the plane flying back to Canada from Germany, you would then re-enter as a visitor. Sometimes CIC cancel existing ETA's when they issue a CoPR and sometimes they don't - all a bit hit and miss. You would be wise if you already have an existing ETA to check it's status on-line and have a print of that as well. By all means have your relevant sponsorship documents / screen prints with you in case you get asked, but you probably won't be asked.

You will then have to do a 'flagpole' once your CoPR does arrive.

Hello all,

My husband got his CoPR via email on June 30th (just in time for Canada day!). We were very surprised because we thought he would be getting it via snail mail. We sent in his passport and passport photos to the Ottawa Office for his visa...

Got DM this morning. Waiting for COPR to come in the mail now.

Anyone who lived in Canada during the process know roughly how long it takes to post? Currently living in Winnipeg so London to Canada should be about a weekish I recon

my husband is currently visiting in Canada and when he got his CoPR there is a paragraph that states if 'you are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for three months you can submit your passport/photos to the Ottawa office'

Your husband doesn't have his COPR. What you're describing (the emailed letter telling you how/where to send photos) is the PPR (Passport Request). The COPR will be mailed, and has a physical photo stuck to it (the one you send in response to the PPR).

Wife did meds on Monday 10th. She got a invoice and receipt. Is there anything that we need to upload to IRCC?

The doctor said there should be no impediments.

Spreadsheet updated. Was the Doctor / Clinic concerned registered to complete the medical electronically? So did you only receive a receipt (which they should have said don't lose!). If so, then they would have automatically uploaded to CIC. Probably sensible to also scan and upload your receipt as well though.
