ha ha ha thank you! It is kind of an oxymoron at this point!! It gets harder all the time to see people that apply after you get their PPR's before you.. not that I have any ill wishes at all, I want everyone to be successful!! London is a tricky one, they don't tell you squat and the only reason I even know they have processing my application is because they have asked for a military cert, which isn't in the guide, that even the place you get it from says they don't require them anymore... oh well.. I guess I will just sit here and wait.. .patiently.. :)

As do we all! I do have to second Patiently's annoyance, we seem to have waited what seems an eternity. I of course wish everyone luck, and don't wish anyone a denial - but surely its our turn now!

Dear All,

Am new on here, so apologies if I'm repeating previous questions and queries !

My sponsor and I received the sponsorship approval letter last week, approved on 24 Jan 2011, but I have no idea whether the London office has received the file, as there has been no update on ECAS since the "Decision Made" entry.

Do London send out AOR letters or do they just tend update ECAS sporadically ?

Many thanks for your help !

Derwig

We had no letters from London - only the original file transfer from Mississagua. E-cas was updated only when they started processing it (more than a month after receiving it).

... and a question for others who have had a PPR from london. how long after e-cas changed to COMPLETED did you get the PPR? email or letter?

Quite often people get their PPR email prior to a change in ECAS. It can be two - five months later depending on if you need an interview or there are prolonged back ground checks... I believe that the CHC website states that ECAS does not change to complete until after the visa has been issued, I am looking for the specific link right now. ;)

In response to your query I have quoted an exerpt from the link below:

In order to best use our resources, we will not send confirmation that we have received your documents. If you would like confirmation of receipt, you can send your documents by registered mail and then follow up with your postal service. Once we receive your documents, we will update your file. You will not be contacted until it is necessary.

I received PPR on 5 Jan, and they had my passport on 20th Jan and there was no contact from London before then. I still can't log onto eCas under my own name, my husband's (sponsor's) eCas changed to Decision Made on the PR section beginning of Feb some time, can't quite remember now.

I think London just does what it wants with eCas but I suppose as long as we get that PPR quite quickly, we're not bothered, although would like my passport back now please London!

Yes....I would like my passport back too.....I still have no update on ECAS since I gor PPR e-mail on 27th Jan......
Frustrated waiting and waiting......

Now I regret why I didn't submit my passport in-person.....so that I can collect it 10 workings after I submit it!!!!!!

Motul it has only been 8 business days since the 27th of January! You will get it! :D

MandiF hasn't gotten hers back in that time frame as she sent it from Canada and that is destined to be a longer process.

But it arrived at Embassy on 20th Jan and its being sent back to a UK address... just thought it would be back by now, so at least I knew it had actually been done and then it can be sent to me...

And yes motul, hope we both get them back soon, but as least we have PPR, others are not quite as lucky as us just yet!

I didn't get decision made on my ECAS until about 4 or 5 days after my passport request and it didn't change to complete until I actually landed but it seems to be different for everyone, ECAS is completely random! Lots and lots of luck to everyone this week.
