The interview took about 40 min and generally were about our relationship and our family. The officer was very positive person and promised me to sort out my application asap.
For what it is worth, I have been out of Canada 3 times since landing, all without a PR card. Two of those has been to the US and one to the UK. The only issues I had were: 1) at the Canadian border they took me to secondary to check the details out on the computer (only done this twice - third time the passport stamp was sufficient, but was with my Canadian wife that time) and 2) Virgin hadn't updated their systems to reflect the relaxing of the eTA date, and so when checking in they had to override their system which took a little longer to check in.CanadaCanary said:Called them Monday, have to send in new photos. Did yesterday, will get there tomorrow. They've changed the spec of the photos to be more like passport ones. They sent me an e-mail after the call with a form and the photo spec.
I'm quite angry as it was 12 weeks since I landed and they were only "about" to send me a letter to tell me to send in new photos. If the processing time is currently 52 days, why after that period was I not contacted to send in new photos? Aside from the fact that they have moved the goal posts and changed the spec of the photos and not just let people who sent in photos a while ago from being excepted.
I have no choice but to cancel my trip to the UK as the risk of not being allowed to travel is too great.
Thanks CIC.
