Just thought I'd let you all know we got the Passport Request today!

See timeline under my username - hopefully it gives you London Applicants some insight on your own applications!

(It was a Common Law App)

Well Done! hopefully we all we have swift applications. In a very Similar type application as you. Lets hope!

My partner landed Nov 2!! We walked over to the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls, less than 40 minutes for the whole process - very easy.

@Dishy_Max - I sent you a PM. Contact me if you want to ask any questions about your app.

@nintenchris - my partner sent his passport from Canada. He was without it for exactly 20 days. We took photocopies of the data page and his visitor visa (he had extra paperwork since he asked for the full 6 months when he came over) otherwise just copy your entry stamp - Digital scans would work also. We sent it by Canada Post registered mail but if you've got the extra cash and want to be even safer sent it by purolator or fed ex. I don't know what the official line on being in a country without your passport but I imagine it can't be much different than if you were travelling in any country and happened to lose it.

Congrats on the landing, its looking like about three months is the timeline at the moment, which is great, I'm hoping it stays about there for at least the next three months!!

Did your partner's passport also get sent back to him in Canada or did he have to get it sent to an address in UK first? if sent straight back to Canada, was that a problem for London?

My application is now showing as in process in London as of November 5th...it also says medical results have been received.

Keeping my fingers crossed that London don't take too long now!!! Does anyone else find it really difficult not having any idea how long they will take from here and not being able to plan ahead for anything?!

Congrats on reaching the next milestone suze_h!!

It is painful having your entire future resting on one single decision which may come tomorrow or may come in a year!! I'd love to book flights and give notice and sell things that won't be coming back to Canada with us right now...but I can't. Trying to plan and be ready to completely change our lives without any timeframe is hard and I certainly feel your pain!

Here's to a speedy decision and a positive outcome!!

I totally agree with you Mike! I love the fact that everyone on this forum is going through the same thing, makes it a lot easier to deal with! Good luck with your application :)

Suze im right behind you! As you thought! Being processed since 5/11 :) Bet your just mins ahead of me. Fingers Crossed for both of us

I wanna do that but im scared to be without my passport!
Take photo copies of the important pages before you send it via courier.

That's great news Rob! Congrats!! Seems you've caught me up, it seemed to take a while for London to start processing mine! Fingers crossed for us both, I still think mine will take longer!

Whereabouts in Canada are you moving to?

My husband got the PPR today...London took almost 6 months to process our case. I hope everyone else will get their cases processed soon..

Cambridge ON, u?

Toronto - I've been living in Ontario on and off on various visas since September 2009 and heading back on Nov 21st until Christmas when my work visa expires....just can't wait to get back!

We sent our passport to London after the PPR from toronto, got it back in just over 2 weeks from the day we sent it. So fast! And landed at the Niagara Falls border...flagpole style except we got admitted into the states and went shopping first. So easy and such a smooth process, literally spent 5 minutes with the immigration officer to become a landed immigrant! Feels great, good luck to the rest of you!

Congrats!!!!!!!! :)
