The first studio stamped them, but they were a bit smudged, so I hand wrote the address as well. Next two sets were handwritten. The spec letter said this was fine, but stickers were not.

So they've told you your photos aren't right but haven't told you what, exactly, is wrong with them?

Exactly. Which is why I am so frustrated, as is the photographer I have been to.

To add insult to injury, the emails themselves have a letter as an attachment, and just say "Please see attached letter" and the first one didn't have an attachment, so I didn't know what the letter was about!

KForry - I assume you have emailed London Visa Office asking for clarification? They're often bad at answering emails, but it's worth a try. Personally I'd try to send another set anyway, with the back stamped clearly. I can't imagine what else they'd want, unless they are still expecting photos according to the old specs for some reason.

Over a month gone since DM for me now and no COPR... I sent another email to LVO on Friday, this time with "Urgent" in the subject line. No reply yet. I don't want to bother my MP yet as I asked them for help with my co-op work permit just last week, but if I don't get the COPR this week, I may have to shoot the MP's assistant another email. So frustrating!

Yep, I have emailed, but to no avail. I have yet another set I am going to send in tomorrow, and see what happens.

Just an update, got an email this morning saying our application had begun being processed on Jan 5th and it has gone to the Ottawa centre.

In regards to our application being sent to Ottawa instead of London, does anybody know why this is the case? Is it random or does it have something to do with the application itself?

Spreadsheet update: COPR finally arrived (19.1.16)

It took almost 7 weeks and it only came after I had to email the LVO Operations Manager.

If anyone is ever in the same situation as I was in (DM but no sign of COPR or information received) I strongly recommend emailing her.

Im almost 4 weeks waiting now from DM made - I emailed my MP so hopefully he can help. We will wait and see I guess. All I know is that my concierge and the post man think Im a nut case

I found her name easily by searching on Google and then it's firstname.surname@international.gc.ca

Idealistically after how much time since your status changed into IN PROCESS would you order notes? Ours went into "in process" 2 weeks ago.

Our application was sent to Ottawa too. Having searched the forums I'm not sure either what that means (if anything) to the processing. I've read people suggesting that only pretty straightforward apps are sent to Ottawa but then the Ottawa processing time on the London spreadsheet is a bit longer. Someone just recently on the Ottawa thread said their MP had suggested that Ottawa was slowing down because of all the refugee applications. Basically, no idea but I hope it doesn't slow down the processing time for either of us!!!

When we first looked at the forum, noticed that people around July/Aug/Sep were getting decisions so we started to get excited. I have just noticed that they were 2015!! We applied in 2014, should we be worried?

Does anyone have advice about what we should do, we applied 17 months ago and due to the process times on CIC thought it was normal, it seems like we are waiting way longer than almost everyone else.

LVO replied to my third email.

"Your COPR was sent to your address in Finland on the 14th of December 2015. If you can send us in new photos and a copy of your passport BIO page along with a self-addressed envelope, we can reissue and send the COPR to the correct address."

WTF?!? I haven't lived in Finland since 2013, and included my current Canadian address in the application forms. The correct address is also listed on ECAS. And now I need to get new photos taken just because CIC and LVO can't read my application forms correctly?

I cannot wait to never have to deal with CIC again. Unfortunately it'll take some more years (until citizenship) if we stay in Canada.
