Congrats on the SA! My application is also being processed in Ottawa, I applied in April 2015. I am not feeling too positive about Ottawa right now as nearly everyone after me who went to London has been processed and I am still waiting. But I don't see London being this fast at processing applications forever so maybe they will slow down and it will turn into a good thing for you. Good luck :)

Yes there are lots of slow Ottawa applications considering how many fewer applications went there than London. Who knows what the situation is... Lots of the Ottawa apps had requests for proof of sponsor residency/intent to reside but we sent plenty of proof of residency so hopefully we'll avoid that one!

Good luck with getting DM soon! :)

Now I am starting to think that maybe I don't have DM? When I go to Ecas it says 'Decision Made' but when I click on 'Decision Made' it doesn't say 'A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision'.

Could someone who has their COPR please tell me what it says on theirs?

Sausageboyuk - I'm still waiting for mine and ecas says the same as yours. This will be the 5th week since it changed to DM. I'm pretty anxious too but at least it helps to know I'm not the only one waiting for COPR to arrive.

Hope it makes you feel better to know I'm in the same boat.

CIC haven't responded to my enquiry either which isn't unusual.

Fingers crossed we get it soon.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes for the passport to be returned after passport request? I got a passport request from Ottawa and submitted it last week. I have been offered a job but they want me to start asap and want to know when I expect the passport. Does anyone have any experience of how long it might take?

Thanks!!

Finally i received my interview letter

Hi all...i order notes through MP. And the receptionist told me everything is passed..background checks are done....officer wrote in his hand writing that next review on file will be on feb 4...she told me they have a deadline of 30 days from feb 4 to review the file again....so it could be anywhere between feb 4 and march 5. Our second medical is expiring on April 18. So should I just wait out till March or send thrm enquiry email... what I dont understand is if everything is fine then whats the point of waiting out till Feb 4. Couldnt they just finish it up....

Anyways if any of you order notes and stated next review date.....do they actually review the file on thise dates or not ?

Spreadsheet update:

SA received 11th January :) - processing office is Ottawa (looks like only one application on the spreadsheet has been sent there since May. I'm of course trying to work out whether this is a good or bad (if either!) thing for our processing time. Anyone have any thoughts?)

No AOR received but I tried logging in with my UCI on 7th January as I already had one and it worked. I suspect it was there before though (I had been trying to check using 'UK and colonies' rather than 'England' as my country)

Also a correction for the spreadsheet. My medical was May not March (date is right though).

Thanks!

All updated, Abydos

Hey Everyone,

Quick question!

We got the ready for visa email and decision made on December 17. We sent over everything that was required on December 18, to date we have not heard anything or received COPR in the post. Should we be worried? Does anyone know of a way we can see if they have sent anything to us?

I have been waiting almost 6 weeks for my COPR and have had no correspondence or info from LVO, even after sending two emails.

What is a ready for visa email?

Because we were processed in Ottawa but copr is issued through London we had to send a few items in after DM

Ah ok!

I am now worried that something is up or it has been lost in the mail. 6 weeks is very unusual I think!

Since LVO hasn't responded to your urgent email, would it be possible to contact your (or your spouse's) MP in Canada?

What is an MP and how do I find out who they are?

Member of Parliament and it would depend on where in Canada you (or your spouse) lives. If you both live outside of Canada now I'm not sure if they would be willing to help, but it can't hurt to try. I got the email address for my MP by asking for his contact info on Twitter (lol).

use your wife's postal code to find her MP: http://www.lop.parl.gc.ca/ParlInfo/Compilations/HouseofCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC all the contact information will be there for you.

Wow is it ok to do that? I didn't think that would be their responsibility!
