Great stuff. Congrats Andrew and best wishes for the new year. I just received an email from CIC confirming that they received my additional documents and they are now asking for 4 passport photographs within 30 days. This is after DM has been made. What would this mean? Will I be waiting on my COPR longer now? Did you get the photo requests and if so how did you send them from Calgary?

I also got request for photos and passport scan after DM. Im also in Calgary. I sent the required documents via Fedex.

Hello! I have landed!

My COPR is dated December 3rd - 2 days before ECAS went DM.

The accompanying letter was dated December 15th and the Royal Mail post mark was dated December 17th so it took 2 weeks after DM for them to send it. Also today they responded to one of my emails saying when they sent it and gave me the tracking number.

My landing experience:

I had to wait about 15 minutes to get to the US booth, told them I wanted to flagpole, they directed me to park and inside I waited about 15 minutes before they gave me the administrative refusal document. Then they told me to follow their car to a place I could do a U-turn.

It took about 10 minutes to get to the Canadian booth, they actually opened up a second booth and I was the next car in line. The guy there was super friendly, asked what's my purpose, after I told him he congratulated me and told me where to park. He gave me a yellow slip which I had to give the officers inside.

The office was quiet, no other travelers. I handed over my papers and the officer asked under which scheme I applied, are details correct on the COPR. He also said "why didn't you make an appointment at the Calgary office like you are supposed to?" I told him I was aware that you can flagpole, he asked how I know that and I said an immigration forum. That shut him up.

10 minutes later I was stamped and he handed over the documents! He said I'll get my PR card within 90 days.

Thanks for the support from everyone, definitely made the wait easier. Oh I never got a Canadian flag :(

Congratulations Andrew!

I just called CIC to book a landing interview. (First time ever that I got through with no wait time at all! Yay for New Year's Eve!) I haven't actually received my COPR yet, but thankfully the agent didn't ask if I had, and placed me in the interview queue for the local office. Should take about 3 weeks, hopefully that's enough time to get the COPR - should be, we got DM on December 17th.

Congrats Andrew - Brilliant news

Congratulations Andrew. This is completely done.

My "in process" has changed to "decision made" today, a third line has been added (3. Medical results have been received).

This is good news right?

I'd say so! Congrats! As the person right before me (excluding Ottawa/PK applications) on the spreadsheet this makes me hopeful too! Who has been handling your file ..just out of interest?

JS..although my recent notes say

Application assignment
Assigned to JB
Assigned by JS
Due date Dec 10th

Not sure if this means I've been passed over or what but...as long as someone is doing something with it I'm not too fussy!

This is a fairly common request. Most likely they want recent photographs because the ones you provided are over a year old. I did not get this request however I got a new passport since I applied and when I sent them my new passport details I included a set of photos. Spreadsheet updated.

Thanks guys :-)

I never changed my address on my account, so the COPR will presumably be sent to my parent's house in the UK. I presume that takes a couple of weeks? And then I'll get it sent over here.

Hi

I'm a Canadian living in Denmark with my Australian partner. We are both naturalised British as well as we lived in the uk for 7 years before moving to Denmark.

Our application was received on 26th October and we have received sponsor approval on 31st December.
To my surprise, they sent the application to Sydney (I assume Australia not NS though the letter doesn't say?) for stage 2 instead of London. Is it common that they send application based on citizenship rather than residency? What are the implications to have the application processed in Sydney? Does it change anything?

Thanks

Hi

Yes, very common. CIC usually chooses the VO of nationality over the VO of residency. There are no negative implications and it doesn't change anything. Sydney is a very fast office and generally averages faster processing times than London.
