Bad news for me. I just phoned about my sponsorship application and unfortunately my husband forgot to sign somewhere (I double checked this before I sent the application out but I must have missed it) and we forgot to do something with the photos (on the back?) but I'm not sure what that means. They sent the letter to me yesterday which means I should receive it either late this week or next.

On a better note, my husband will be coming to visit next week so I guess he can sign the form in person!

Has anyone forgot to do something on their application before? Are they going to re-send us our application or will they just ask for the pieces that we missed? And finally, will we have to wait for another month or so before we will hear back about our sponsorship application? I guess in other words, how much is this going to delay us.

Many thanks for your advice in advance.

Hi All,

Just wanted to come in and say hello. I'm Canadian and sponsoring my British wife. We sent our application to Mississauga a couple of weeks ago and it was received on the 26th of October. Really hoping for a speedy resolution as I think our application is fairly straightforward. Congrats to those of you who have been approved recently! I'm hoping that in a few months I'll be posting some good news too!

All the best,
Mike

Hey.

I figure you have all done IMM5562 "Supplementary Info, Your travels" details of every last trip you have made abroad in the last 10 years etc. Great times! Anyway, this might be a stupid question but it asks for both mine and my common-law partner's trip details. If my common-law partner my Canadian sponsor do we still have to fill this in, or would that be if she was trying to get a PR card too? Hope you understand

Thanks.

Zissou:

The form IMM5562 is only for those who submit their application to Canadian Office in Paris, you don't need to fill this form if your application
is not process in Paris. Also the person who need to fill this form is the applicant not the sponsor.

Hope this can help~~

Yes, what motul2000 said is right, I didn't fill this in as I was applying to London and not Paris, but was very worried when I first saw it!

Just thought I'd let you all know we got the Passport Request today!

See timeline under my username - hopefully it gives you London Applicants some insight on your own applications!

(It was a Common Law App)

Just thought I'd say hi as I'm another London outlander!

Our application was received in Missisauga on 17th September and sponsorship approval letter was sent on 14th October.

I haven't heard anything since, it doesn't say 'in process' in London yet so still waiting....

Good luck to everyone!!

Suze

Hi all. Has anyone looked into travel insurance or medical insurance yet? Can anyone suggest any companies? Are you even bothering to get any?

Luckily I'm on my husband's work medical insurance, so hopefully won't have a problem.

Try "21st Century" travel insurance (for visitors)
Costs about $160 for 3 month's standard cover.

Has anyone had there PPR email while in Canada and sent there passport to the London visa office? or did you go all the way home to send it in/take it in?

I'm planning on sending my passport from Canada once I get my PPR.
