Wonderful news Andrew and taffy!

Went to the border on the weekend and all went smoothly. We just walked across Rainbow bridge and back. We had to wait for a few hours to be seen but other than that, it was simple. My partner is off to get his SIN today.

Spreadsheet Updated, Hope your landing goes well :D

Congrats Andrew and Taffy. Only 20ish people left in 2014.

LVO is in overdrive right now, either they got more people in or applications are being processed faster.

Fingers crossed for mine before end of year, I was not expecting anything before Feb and now I keep thinking when is mine going to come?!

Good luck to all and congrats to the others who have gone through recently.

I got Decision Made!

I checked this morning and right before bed (an hour ago now) I checked again and there it was! Spent the last hour calling friends and family, my wife is away on a trip to Vancouver with friends and she burst into tears upon hearing the news, while her friends cheered and screamed in the background!!!

Best news ever! Now I'm hoping for the COPR to be mailed without the request for new photos and passport scan but we shall see!

Oh and spreadsheet updated!!!

Congratulations Andrew!

Hopefully you don't have SXB working on your file. They are working on mine and they worked on Andrew and Taffy's as well as many of the others who have been waiting over a year. Then I see other officers accepting applications from August. This SXB person has showed themselves to be super slow so It doesn't feel me with much hope.

Hello,
I have been meaning to post on this forum for a while, just been quietly reading. Thank you to everyone who posts, all your information has been very helpful!! We got DM on Dec 6th so I thought I should post so you can add to the spreadsheet.

Application received in Mississauga: July 7, 2015
Common-Law
Sponsor Approval: Sept 9th , 2015
Processing Office: London
In Process: September 18th, 2015
Applicant lives in: Edinburgh, UK
Meds done April 15, 2015
Applicant is VISA exempt
Sponsor lives in Toronto ON
Decision Made showing on ECAS December 6th 2015

So excited, but nervous that DM could possibly be a NO?! It just feels too soon and too good to be true......We were not asked for extra docs throughout the process.. how long does it usually take for the decision to come in the mail?! So anxious!

I wasn't asked for extra docs too and after DM I got my COPR in the post in a week. You have nothing to worry about don't worry!

Thanks, I have added you to the spreadsheet. Please let me know when you get the COPR so I can update the spreadsheet.

CIC would not reject your application without asking you for extra docs (eg if they thought you had not lived together for at least a year) or asked you for an interview.

Thought I would add my details for the spreadsheet. Currently living in Ottawa on working holiday visa and I've applied through common law for my PR. Called today and they said 28 month waiting time for London! :D panicked... then checked this thread and started to calm down... Visa is up January 5th and am currently working... any ideas anyone?

Application received in Mississauga: July 21, 2015
Common-Law
Sponsor Approval: Oct 10th , 2015 (I think)
Processing Office: London
In Process: October 15th, 2015 (...ish)
Applicant lives in: Ottawa, ON, Canada.
Meds done April 4th, 2014 (..ish)
Applicant is VISA exempt
Sponsor lives in Ottawa, ON
PR in process since November 17th, 2015.
Awaiting more info

The sooner this gets sorted, the better. Little bit nervous about it. Also a US passport holder...

Welcome MufasaLava, I have added you to the spreadsheet.

You can see that some June/July/August 2015 applications have been approved recently, so there is a chance that yours will be one of the lucky ones.

Once your working holiday expires you could always change status to Canada (re-enter Canada) and you should get 6 months visitor record no problem.

Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

I've been following this thread for awhile now and I wished to be added. I'm a Canadian Citizen married to my British wife for more than two years now. I've been approved to sponsor my wife and stepdaughter early this year and now just waiting to received the COPR. The two of them are visa-exempt and have been staying with me in Canada since November of last year. I have extended their visitor status this past May and it would be good for one year.

My wife and I also just had another daughter this past October. It was a bit difficult especially when it comes to finances as I had to pay for all medical bills myself. I work for the Federal Government and it was really unfortunate how cases in this office are not being worked on in a timely manner. I'm really happy for those who got DM. Best of luck in Canada!

Here is my timeline

1. Sent application for permanent residence on December 24, 2014. (OUTLAND)
2. They started processing my application on March 25, 2015.
3. We received a correspondence on October 28, 2015 from the visa office asking for medical results. I don't know if they lost my copies as I sent everything that is needed with my package. Anyway, I sent the proof that same day.

No further updates on ECAS....

Hello yorku, where are the applicants (wife and daughter) located? Closest city is fine if you do not want to be too specific.

As a reminder here is the list of info we need when you want to be added to the spreadsheet.

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date the permanent residence status changed to In Process on ECAS
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt (if non-visa exempt) provide the applicant's nationality
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!
-Date of medical exam
