Not expecting anything but I just sent London the following

Hello,

I am inquiring about the status of my application for permanent residency via spousal sponsorship.

The last information I received from you was an email on November 9th saying that my file is being reviewed.

I would like to know why there are applications being approved which were received in Mississauga (and then sent to London after sponsor approval) in 2015.

I am a member of a forum where outland applicants publish their application timeline and there are people who applied in June 2015 who have been approved. I applied 9 months earlier than these people and I would like to know why they are approved before my application.

I appreciate any information you can give me.

Thank you,

Sorry Andrew but I am still hoping you will hear back very very soon :)

I was thinking exactly to write such email to them. Let us know if you receive a reply.

Hi Mary, i looked at the spreadsheet yesterday and saw your name along side mine for April.I was wondering then if you were still on the site and had Dm but hadn't commented .Good luck to us both fingers crossed we will both hear soon.

My file has a bring forward date of Nov 26th so i am hoping for some results beginning of Dec.

Hi guys, random question - if you are a UK citizen and are granted PR and you want to land in Canada after March 15th 2016 (when the new ETS rules come out), does the Brit with the Canadian PR need to apply for an ETA?

Thanks.

I'd doubt it, as you have the right to live in Canada with your PR.

I would be likely to say yes , because you haven't landed as such . Once you land and become a PR then i wouldn't think you would have to.

Thanks guys, these new rules are sometimes so vague.......

Hi Taffy,

Im new to forum and a silent reader most of the times. I login everyday to forum. Lol i wont lie, when 2015 applicants get a decision made i get frustrated. I always wanted to send an email to london on their unfairness. I have a two year old daughter as well.. and shes still waiting for her dad to arrive in Canada. Her birthday is today and all we going to do is celebrate on skype call. Oh well just taking my frustration out i guess....

Lol i sent two emotional emails to LVO on behalf of my husband past couple of months stating..i want to be with her to watch her grow and be want to celebrate her birthday in Canada. They always reply within 24 hours stating your application is in final process or final review. Went to MP but wasnt much help.

Its been 4 months since the application is in final stages ......

And we both really need a good luck and hopefully the wait will end sooonnn... 19 months are more than enough wait to build a dream home.

LauraMo: I added you to the spreadsheet. Welcome!

The PubLandlord: spreadsheet updated. Good luck with your landing.

Thanks Andrew. I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much for all your hard work with the spreadsheet. Its been a lifesaver. I hope you have some good news soon.

Just wanted to mention as per Ecas on Nov 9 we had DM showing. No word on COPR yet.

A CAIPS request from early October showed our file was put away till Nov 13 - I guess they opened it up a bit early.

Andrew-Brit : We're all rooting for you. All I can say is based on my analysis of the SS, LVO is speeding up processing all around and its just a matter of time before good karma visits you for all those you've helped here. Thank you for your diligent efforts in maintaining the SS.

When you board that plane you are still a visitor to Canada, until you become a landed immigrant. You only become a landed immigrant once you pass the cbsa. So to be on the safe side yes i would be applying for the ETA .
