Hi Taffy
I am still waiting, only remained quiet all this while on the forum as there is no news, haven't been with hubby for seven months!!

Hello andrew-brit
Many thanks again for your efforts and support on this and other forms you grace
An update for the spreadsheet, application went In Process on September 8th
I suppose i have not mentioned it until now because i find it very discouraging that all applications are marked In Process once they are received. It seems almost cruel.
A point of interest maybe, a family member in Canada has a friend that works for her local MP. She was going to ask about our application about two weeks ago and we have heard nothing. We were told this was due to the recent election taking up all the resources. Now that it is over perhaps we will get an answer of some kind (i am not holding my breath however).
Cheers

WeAllPlayForCanada and bbuck: spreadsheet updated.

bbuck remember that it is a new protocol (setting apps to in process straight after sponsor approval) and only affects applications received since May 2015. No one knows the extent of this protocol so just wait and see.

Hi all, it has been 8 weeks since we received Decision Made and according to ECAS, we were sent correspondence. 3 weeks ago we contacted the call centre and my MP's office (we already have a relationship with them on communication for CIC) and a request has be re-issued to send the correspondence again. Our MP told us if we hadn't received anything by the 13th to re-contact. We have confirmation from the MP that we have been approved. Still nothing has arrived by email or mail, and my MP was ousted in the election on Monday.

All I can think to do at this point is to strike up a new conversation with our new MP. The call centre is useless so we sent a case specific enquiry with that info above. Anything else we can do?!!

Morning people

Spreadsheet update please, this morning my husbands application is saying decision made

So excited let's hope because we are currently in canada it will be sent to us quick.

Just want to say thanks for all the support and best of luck to the rest

Cassandra

We just got an email from CIC 10 minutes ago....its looks like a batch email?? I hope.

It asks for additional proof of residency for the sponsor - what should we do if we sent everything we have?

I guess this means they are actually looking at our application

Cassandra_1982: Congrats, spreadsheet updated. Your location on the spreadsheet is Birmingham, UK. Have you notified CIC that you are now in Canada? Otherwise the COPR will go to the address they have on file.

mgrandolini: spreadsheet updated. What exactly is the request? Proof that the applicant lives with the sponsor? Proof that the sponsor lives/will live in Canada?

A note to all applicants on the spreadsheet, remember to inform me if you have moved so that we can track your location on the spreadsheet.

Looks like it is just a batch email as its covering everything. Proof that the sponsor resides in Canada, if they don't prove that the sponsor intends to return, police certificates, medical, etc...I think one went out before and I can see other people received it. I am just wondering if we need to respond to the email or mail them telling them we already submitted all of that.

Yes asoon as we landed we contacted cic a told them we moved to canada for 6 months

Where in Canada as we need to track your location. This helps others understand the time it takes from DM to receiving COPR.

I also received the email from Ottawa. Asking for proof to reside, police certificate, medical, pay fees etc. Hopefully it means something is happening over there!

Are we okay to just email them the documents (as they already have originals of police certificate etc) or is it best to mail them the documents?
