Thanks, think I will do this instead as everything we are sending is already electronic. And yes, as you said, the only 'original' document they requested was the police certificate. Makes sense!

Out of interest, what did they request from you?

We had

• confirm address
• updates on family composition (if applicable)
• Intent to reside from sponsor
• RPRF (if not paid already)
• Police certificate (if not done/sent already)
• Medical examination; medical form/emedical if already completed & sent

Has anything on ecas changed since you sent your additional docs?

Yeah we had all that in a first email of around the middle of August, except the request for police certificate which we got (along with a load of other folk) a couple of weeks later.

ECAS changed to In Process before we got the email and the only update since has been it's now showing the "Medicals Received" line as of last week.

Hey guys,

I read in another thread an explanation as to why newer applications are changed to In Process so soon after SA.

If you haven't already seen, user Eagle333 said a friend of his works for CIC around the globe. He asked why new applicants have 3 lines very quickly on their eCas and their eCas shows in process with the date they started processing? He told him that from 2011 CIC had a huge backlog to clear because the background checks were requested after the eligibility passes, ie. if someone had to go through an interview their background checks were only started after they passed eligibility via interview.

Now CIC wants to cut the backlog by introducing a new strategy by requesting the background checks even before eligibility is finished meaning that when the VO finish updating the eligibility, the background might come in time to allow them to make a quick decision. He said today they update eCas to In Process at the very early date but it does not mean that the file is almost at DM.

He said that as long as there is no additional documents requested or interview letter sent, the applicants should not worry and the date shown on eCas is when the application went in process or when they requested the background checks at the same time they will take time to review the eligibility stage. He said they don't want to wait for someone to pass an interview so that they can start the checks it slows down the process.

I am so confused by that post. I am not sure about the change in the process at all.

I want to send another CSE. Last one I sent was Sept 16th.

But I am so afraid that they will eventually tell me to stop bugging them for another 6 months.

My notes are coming in end of next week. Not sure if I should wait, or send the inquiry anyway.

I was thinking of starting my first line with "I am sorry for being a pest and keep bugging you..."

No news from LVO at all. :'(

There are people from Feb, March, April of this year, are getting decisions made from LVO in Pak thread.

Others may disagree but I think you should send another, it has been over the quoted 28 days in which they said they would respond, plus you do have some questions to be answered.

I have had no news since SF came back from his vacation this week and since I sent them a list of countries I have visited since my medical.

I am over this part of my life, there are so many small things LVO could do which would get rid of so much stress on applicants but nah they just do not give a f.

Hang in there Andrew, surely it cant be that long to go before you get your DM (fingers crossed). At least they asked you for list of countries visited since last medical. Thats something. All i got from my GCSM notes was Eligibility, background and criminality NOT STARTED.

This whole process is frustrating but as you said.. Each day brings DM closer. Hang in there.

They never response to mine ... F F F F F SWEAR WORD .. Honestly i am so bloody frustrated with this stupid stupid system. Every thing on my notes say passed .. I have been calling MP with out any response . I would send them . in my case they do respond back within a week. Last time they responded back on Sept 16 to let me know that they are reviewing if medical could be granted. We haven't heard anything since.

And there are visa exempt applications who applied in Feb 2015 getting DM.

Maybe just maybe they have already made decision and sent COPR already and were too lazy to update ECAS. The mysteries of CIC!
