Hi all,

I think I posted some of this information before, but I don't appear to be on the spreadsheet.

-Date application received in Mississauga - May 4, 2015
-applied as Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval - July 2, 2015
-London office is processing Phase 2 of application
-Current location of the principal applicant- London, UK

When I received approval as a sponsor, we were informed that my partner's medical was not complete. The medical was originally forwarded from the doctor on Dec 9, 2014. After a bit of back and forth with both the CIC and the doctor that performed the medical, it became clear that the receipt that we had been given for the medical didn't say "complete" as the tests were still being processed on that day. We obtained a new receipt from the doctor on July 10, 2015 and forwarded that on to CIC who stated "The new medical validity date is July 14th, 2016." So I'm guessing that they've given us a year from that new date?

Just this week, my partner's application status has changed to "in process" with the date of July 9, 2015. The status was actually changed we believe on October 13, 2015.

I have added you.

I received this line on mine today too.

Not relevant to your timeline, but a lot of us on the July and August threads got ' medicals have been received' today too. I'm surprised at the speed that we're getting this on eCAS to be truthful.

Yes, we have already applied notes last month and hopefully will get by 25th of this month. May be by any chance we get any response from LVO. How about sending them another CSE / email and attach receipt of re-med and response from Panel Physician? or wait until few more days?

I would send an email and attach the receipt , nothing else you can do. Don't wait because another day is not going to make a difference . Just do it . Then wait for your notes and see if it has changed.

It amazes me that people don't know that Wales is a country .. People often will say are you English, when i say no i'm Welsh ,they say all the same .. ;D

Got an email today saying that my medical expired, but as a one time deal if I provided a list of all trips I've taken and illnesses I've had since then they might extend it. Tried to reply to the email but it said that their inbox was full, so I sent it in a case specific inquiry.

Thanks gander for the info, spreadsheet updated. I am waiting with bated breath for the same email!

Hopefully you'll receive it soon, god knows you deserve it!

Even the case specific inquiry doesn't seem to have worked, I got an email again saying the inbox is full, try again later.. Does anyone know if this is a normal thing?

I actually sent a CSE last night around midnight my time (7am Wednesday UK time), hoping that when they get to work it would be near the top of the pile.

I got the normal auto response saying I will get a reply within 28 days (BS) but then a minute later I got an out of office reply from an actual person at CIC. He is on holiday until next Monday and his signature reads Immigration and Medical Services Division so I am thinking he might be the person in charge of extending my medical or asking me for a new one. It seems strange to me that it went directly to him. As an IT person myself I can only presume they have some software which upon receiving my email forwarded it someone assigned to my case. In which case yay, this was not the case last 2 weeks ago as I emailed them (without a reply) hence why I submitted a CSE.

Not to break hopes however I was excited for a moment as well. Couldn't believe that they would actually provide the personal details of someone. I google/linked in searched and found the person who seems to be an IT individual. Still curious as to why that would happen. But I have always received a response within 24hrs and this time nothing yet

Well the out of office reply said he is away until the 19th of October for me, so I am not expecting a reply before then. I creeped him too on Linked In and saw his jobs etc. Are his initials SF?

hi guys,
I just need some advice in regards to transferring funds from the UK to Canada for my wife. She will be coming to Canada by the end of this year to wait out for her PR in Canada. As of today, her PR status is still in process and the app was filed back in May 2015.
She will be selling her primary residence in the UK as the wait is too much for her and would rather wait for her PR in Canada.

My question is: Is she allowed to bring all of her proceeds once her primary residence is sold in the UK? Or does she need to wait till she gets her PR?

I did some research on http://britishexpats.com and couldn't find any information related to this :(

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Are you talking about bringing a suitcase full of cash?
