I ordered notes abt 34 days ago, and still haven't heard anything. Is this normal or should I follow up. In the past I have received them right at day 30.

I have read on here that a few take longer now and again. When you ordered them did you get an email saying they received your request? If so you can reply to that and they are normally quick at responding.

Got a document request from Ottawa last night asking for proof of intent to return and a resubmission of my proof of medical exam (already done this but going to send it again along with everything else)

There's also a bit about payment of RPRF which it does say to disregard if we've already paid, which we did and submitted the receipt with the initial application.

However slightly worried that since they didn't seem to link my medical form to my application first time they might have missed the RPRF receipt too.

Have other folk who paid the RPRF up-front seen this bit on correspondence asking for additional documents?

Edin2Van - did you get any replies to this? We have just received the same email.

It has asked us to:
  • confirm address
  • state changes in family composition
  • proof of intent of sponsor (really confused on this one as I have already been approved as a sponsor...do I resend everything they already have?)
  • RPRF Payment (if not already paid)
  • Police certificate (if not already submitted)
  • Medical Exam form (we have already completed the exam and have sent the official receipts of it with our application; is this referring to IMM 1017/'emedical' receipt, as we were told the physician would send the results directly to CIC)

It also states that documents are required within 45 days of the email.

Has anyone else received a similar request to this email? Any pointers will be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
I just received the exact email you received. Similarly, we also submitted medicals and police certificates as well and sent originals with our application and also paid. I guess I will have to show proof that I am living back in Canada now and send that via snail mail. Let me know if you do anything different or if anyone else has received this email in the past.
Thanks

It seems like Ottawa are processing in batches now as a whole load of other folk got the exact same email at roughly the same time as I did last month, and now there's a load of folk also being processed at Ottawa who have gotten this email today.

For the proof of intent to return are you as sponsor currently living in Canada? If not they want to see evidence that you're planning on moving back in the next few months or as soon as your spouse gets their visa. It's kinda tricky but if you've got any evidence you've got accommodation or a job lined up, have plane tickets booked or even have started to move your money back to a Canadian bank (taking advantage of the great pound to dollar exchange rate :D), or even just more evidence of you talking to friends and family in Canada about moving back. Of course if you are already back in Canada just say that and provide a bit of evidence for that.

We just sent the requested proof of intent to return along with a copies of the eMedical and RPRF receipts and an explanatory email saying the originals were submitted with the initial application.

We only got the request for police certificates a couple of weeks ago in a separate batch email

I think it's all good news as it shows Ottawa is pushing applications through the system but it seems to be a new way of them doing it and sending out emails so it's hard to tell exactly what it all means

After a CSE and 2 emails, we finally received a response about our missing Police certificate. This was there response:

Thank you for your correspondence. Please note that your Japanese Police Certificate has been located and an updated Japanese Police Certificate is not required.
Please be advised that this application is now in a queue awaiting review by an officer. You will be contacted again once the review has been completed. No further action is required from you at this time. We appreciate your continued patience.

Hopefully there will be no more glitches or lost paper work and an officer will get to it soon!

Following up to my CSE to Ottawa asking if they had my medical results as nothing has been updated online about them, I just received an automated email saying my supporting documents had been attached to my application. Helpful... :(
