CIC makes no sense at all. You have applicants who applied before you going in process and yet barely any movement on your part. There seems to be no logical explanation of how LVO works!! The painful wait continues. Cant wait for this process to be over!!

Chin up Sibby, our time will come! I'd love for this to be over but every day that goes by we get closer. I want to respond and ask the MP how can they say that when there are applicants who applied after me going in process but I know I will be fobbed off in the response so there is little point.

COPR letter arrived yesterday in the post. Three weeks after Decision Made appeared online.

Happy Days! ;D

Spreadsheet updated, happy landing!

Spreadsheet update: We received COPR in the post yesterday from CPC Ottawa.

Medicals were extended until July 2016. We are heading to the Prescott-Ogdensburg border crossing south of Ottawa next week to Land!

Currently enjoying our time in Canada, waiting for my husbands visa to be sorted and we have been here a month and today he received an email from Ottawa.

Spreadsheet update : Asked if we have had a child, adopted, married etc. Asked us to confirm his address, we had emailed them 4 weeks ago the Canadian address but still had the old Uk one. Also my intent to return to Canada.

Send them the email today with all the answers and photocopies of the information they request. i have have one worry. I informed them we are currently on holiday in Canada for 6 months and i attacked all the flight information etc. But because i am nursing my 6 month old baby and looking after her i have no job, no wage slips etc. I did send them copies of my bank account etc. also because we are currently living at my mums house and i don't have any bills in my name. My mum did write a statement and signed it explain the situation and how its fine for me and my husband to be here after the visa applications approved to give us time to find a place and jobs.

Do you think this will be enough information? i know they said they don't accept drivers licence or my SIN letter but i sent them that also because i had to do my name change(because of marriage) and it had the date of issue on the documents so they could see i was here in Canada changing things

Thanks Cassandra

My partner's passport is expiring in the near(ish) future, in August 2017. He has to go back to the UK in a few weeks, until the app is processed, but I think it is too early to renew his passport (UK website says up to 1 year before).
Does that mean that with his current passport, if PR is granted it will only be good until August 2017 and we'll have to reapply? I know this seems like a dumb question but for some reason I can't figure it all out from the website! Thanks for any advice you guys might have!

Once a person is a PR, the only way to lose that status is to renounce it or have it formally revoked by CIC.

Spreadsheet updated.

The letter from your mum is good. Do you plan to leave after 6 months if your husband has not received his PR?

Got a document request from Ottawa last night asking for proof of intent to return and a resubmission of my proof of medical exam (already done this but going to send it again along with everything else)

There's also a bit about payment of RPRF which it does say to disregard if we've already paid, which we did and submitted the receipt with the initial application.

However slightly worried that since they didn't seem to link my medical form to my application first time they might have missed the RPRF receipt too.

Have other folk who paid the RPRF up-front seen this bit on correspondence asking for additional documents?

Please could I be added to the spreadsheet:
Category: FAMILY, Spouse
Visa Office: London
App. Filed: 02-06-2015
Started processing SA: 07-07-3025
Sponsorship Approval: 30-07-2015 (letter dated 06-08-15)
Upfront Med's Done: 10-02-2015. Request for med's from CIC 06-08-2015.
Resent via the case management system portal (this was sent with the original application).
PR Application Status: In progress 06-08-2015 via London Visa Office
The online services portal it just says “We received X X application for permanent residence on June 2, 2015”

I am so hoping it doesn't take the advertised 28 months for the LVO to process my PR application.

Is anyone else on the same timeline, are we receiving SA at similar times. Have you had any further movement or correspondence from CIC.

Good luck everybody!

Thank you, that totally makes sense, I'm not sure why I thought that the passport would affect it!

we're on very similar timelines - my AOR was June 4 but SA on July 30 and IP on August 7.. no further correspondence. from what i'm hearing and seeing, if your application is straightforward, it's more likely 10-15 months rather than 28 months. :)

Spreadsheet update: Docs Request 19/08/2015 - Proof of Residence/Intent to Reside

Thanks.

Just received this from LVO:

In order to have a re-assessment of your medical, we will require the following:
1. Has the health status of this applicant changed since the last immigration medical exam?
2. Has the client been in close contact with someone with active pulmonary tuberculosis since the last exam?
3. CHEST X-RAY (film/ CD and report) – (for applicants 11 years old and above only)
Immigration Office.

has anyone received the same email? Is this basically a re-medical?
